Sleeve or bypass
Just wondering how all of you made your decision to be sleeved rather than bypass, I'm leaning heavily towards sleeve but find myself going back and forth

Glued to this forum
I just made the decision to have the surgery last week and I have my informational seminar the day after tomorrow, upon making the decision I was forever on the internet reading everything I could find about the surgery. Now I seem to be glued to these forums, it's all I want to do

Yes my parents will be with me and my father is a trained handler for her too so she could wait with him during the surgery and recovery

Service dog
Oh I didn't know that, she is a true service dog. I had always thought that hospitals were one of the off limits places. Thank you that makes me feel better I will do a little more research

Service dog
I have a service dog for a severe anxiety disorder, I'm extremely close with my service dog. I have considerable difficulty leaving the house and going out in public without her. I am worried that come surgery day I won't be able to leave the house because I can't take her with me or that while in the hospital my severe panic attacks without her will hinder my recovery. Any suggestions? I only learned to combat the severe anxiety and panic attacks and agoraphobia with the help of my wonderful dog

Weight loss before surgery
I was just wondering how much weight your surgeons told you you have to lose before surgery. I just found out I have to do 6 months medically supervised diet before approval so I'm worried that I won't lose enough in that time or that I will get obsessed and lose too much and the insurance will think I can do it on my own and deny me

Omg they denied you because of thinking you would go back to smoking, I just quit on chanticleer, I would be devastated if they denied me that late in the game

This feels like forever
I just arranged all my first appointments today, first I have to attend a seminar before they will schedule my initial consultation, then I learn from my insurance company that I will be required to do 6 months of medically supervised weight loss. I was all excited about taking the plunge and getting the ball rolling on this and now I'm feeling like this is gonna take forever
