  1. 6 weeks off?!?! I'm taking 4 weeks off from work and I'm thinking that's too much! I hope it doesn't take 6 weeks or more to recover and go back to work!

Yes 6 weeks and I'm glad that I did because during the six weeks they found out that my gallbladder was bad as well and I had to have it removed last Thursday this is a major surgery and the body needs time to heal

  2. I don't know about pain tolerance and age. I will say that I think what most people struggle with when they return to work is not so much pain, as it is (1) exhaustion and (2) being able to meet Fluid and Protein goals while having to focus on work as well.

    Good luck!

You are absolutely right I was advised to take 6 weeks off after my sleeve and I did just that you will be too weak to do full day's work and you may be in a little more pain than you think

  3. Im 29 3 days post op lots of pain for me mostly gas pain and muscle pain. Ive had to take pain meds everyday i feel i have a high pain tolerance but this was no joke! There is no way i could go back after a week

I did also have my gallbladder removed and a hernia repair at the same time

My doctor wouldn't do my gallbladder at the same time they said it's a dirty organ and should not be done at the same time as the sleeves so here I am 35 days post op my sleeve and back in pain again with a gallbladder removal

  4. On Thursday I saw my surgeon for the first time they moved me up to full liquids however yesterday I tried a piece of fish which went down really well but made me feel extremely full and I see a lot of people complaining about not getting their liquids in I was never a big Water Drinker before I drink every other day and I was fine so I do the same thing now but I'm not having any problems with the liquid

  5. I just had my surgery on July 19th I am still very swollen and very new to this I am also feeling like maybe what I've done was too drastic and maybe I should have done this on my own the pain is ok at this point when I find that I am feeling hungry and then I am still a bit gassy I am hoping that by seeing results I'll start to feel better about what I've done to myself I guess that is part of the mental battle bad they want you to deal with prior to having the surgery but that's not possible being as you have not been cut at that point now that I have I feel like I have lost something
