  1. King George! George Strait when I was about 17 in 1985? Nothing too wild and crazy, lol. Those came later. I also have very diverse musical taste, so I have seen everyone from Elton John (GREAT concert) to Metallica (another great concert).

Interestingly enough, I don't like country music anymore. Just the old stuff. But George is still awesome. ;)

I saw George strait last year with Tim McGraw!! We were there for Tim. But George was amazing. I knew all the songs.

  2. Hi all. I have. An autoimmune disease called polymialgia rheumatica. Took a long time to diagnose because the average age of first diagnosis is 70. And I was 46. I had actually lost 96 pounds on my own and was in the best shape of my life. But steroids for years has put me back up over 200. So I had the sleeve done 6 weeks ago. I am tapering off prednisone. May take a year. And my rheumatologist wants me to take methotrexate. I forget who mentioned taking that I know it's a chemi drug. Any bad side effects and did it work for you?

Also the original poster mentioned eyesight problems. One of the side effects of polymialgia rheumatica is giant cell something and it can blind you. Pmr. Mimics other diseases and is hard to diagnose. Needless to say my weight loss after surgery has been slow. I don't eat. Much. My rheumatologist says that the steroids make your body hold onto the weight.

  3. I have my Protein shake every morning which I can get down about 3 oz of and throughout the day I am constantly drinking Water Decaf tea I have my popsicles and Jello I have tried to eat ground turkey and it just doesn't stay down. The Greek yogurt is also a little too thick that sometimes it kind of comes up like flem which is pretty nasty. I was seen at 1 week and I felt pretty good then. I also wasn't trying to eat any "foods". My dr did suggest that I stay on mushy a little longer so I went back to that but sometimes I still have issues with the mushy foods.

I add almond milk to the Greek yogurt. It is too thick. I am almost 5 weeks out. I eat half a yogurt at a time. Ground turkey made me sick too. Try weight control oatmeal. Add extra Water

  4. I was sleeved almost 5 weeks ago. I am nauseous almost all the time too. Yogurt Protein shakes. tuna salad chicken salad. oatmeal. Are the easiest. If I eat anything else. It's not good. Tonight I made beautiful lump crab cakes. I ate almost a half of one. Then I felt bad. I have had the foam thing and thrown up too. After eating grilled chicken. Probably too dry. Maybe one bite too much. Maybe I ate too fast.

I hope that one day I can say I am happy I did this. But stick to basics. Maybe it takes longer to heal. I am fifty years old maybe my body heals slower than others. Keep the faith

  6. So now it's even worse...I can't eat or drink anything without feeling extremely nauseous and earlier today I threw up foam multiple times and it scared me. :(

    Hi

I am 4 weeks out and nauseous too. It comes and goes. I take the meds for it sometimes.

I had the foam twice. Once it felt like something was stuck. The dr said either I ate too fast or I drank too much before I ate. It's not a problem. Just gross.

Hang in there. I used to love Water now I have to drink it mixed with something to get it down.

  7. Good to know Andrea. I am almost 3 weeks out. Supposed to be able to eat regular Protein etc. but the only non yogurt soft food i can tolerate so far is. tuna on crackers. I even had frothing yesterday yuck. I ate half a crab cake while out to lunch. Just the middle not the fried part. I am hoping because I drank like 20 oz of Water an hour before? It felt like something was stuck halfway down. Then I spit up foam. As long as it will get better I will go back to yogurt and cottage cheese.
