  1. Hi @@Pink Ninja glad to hear your still doing well. I had my surgery on August 10th and my surgeon has me on a 3 week liquid diet. So it's 2 wks today. I've lost 20lbs but I knew mine was alot of Water weight, yet I've been in the hospital 4 times sense the surgery due to dehydration and diarrhea. I am still having a hard time drinking enough liquids, and that's any kind of liquid. I'm in the hospital right now, no veins for a IV, we are waiting on a nurse who specializes in sticking people that are very dehydrated.

  2. Hello ladies, thought I'd give you an update. I had my surgery 8/10/16. I'm still in the hospital due to be discharge tomorrow. My drainage surgery bulb has been very sore, I've been up walking and showering sometimes doing to much which causes pain because I forget to stay on track or tell my nurses I'm feeling great this day! The hospital and nurses have been the best! I've been in Healthcare for over 18 years and this is the most exceptional service I have ever seen, been given and or worked with in my life! Shout out to First Baptist Medical Center in Dallas TX. I absolutely love it here and they are taking good care of me and my kiddos who have stayed up here with me these last couple of days. I've been drinking tea, coffee, Apple juice and Water, taking gas x and walking. Everything is going great!

  3. @@Shrinkinqtpi thank you so much for the updated. My surgery is Wednesday morning. The liquid diet has been very hard I lost 5 lbs, but cheated and could have list more. I've got 3 cases of Isopure and about 10 boxes of crystal light, I also brought alot of different flavors of Ramen noodles so I can get the season packs to have as broth. I think that's it. I remember you saying something about mouth spray? I also need to get something for gas. I pray my surgery goes great. I'm still nervous and excited at the same time. I hope work will be tolerable for you, make sure you take it easy.

  4. Are any of you starting your pre surgical weight loss diet? I start mine Sunday

I'm told I will likely only need to do a 24 hour pre-op diet. I guess I'll know for sure at the pre-op appt 8/4. Sounds like most of you have to do longer though. I wonder why that is?
My surgeon stated that it's to give the liver time to shrink, making it easier for them to manipulate laparoscopicly during the surgery.
