That's great! Dr. Scott Robbins is my surgeon and I absolutely love him! I had a surgery date of May 9th but there were complications. I lost about 15 pounds on my 10 day liquid diet, that wasn't enough to shrink my liver. I was so devastated!! So I'm still on a liquid diet & I have no surgery date. I'm trying to keep the faith, but it's so hard.

I pray everyone's surgery went well. Mine, not so great! I had an arrival time of 6:45 am Tuesday, May 9th. Got there & they immediately took me back to be weighed & changed. I was in and out of the OR in no time. Little did I know, my surgeon was not able to do my surgery. I found this out once I was wheeled back into my room where my family was waiting for me. Apparently, my liver was still too big!! After 10 days of the liquid diet it had not shrunk enough. Was it the baked salmon I had one night? I don't know. All I know is that on Thursday, May 11th, I started another liquid diet. This time there hasn't been any cheating, but this is so hard!! I go see my surgeon May 24th & it's liquids until then. And I'm so over these protein shakes! It gets harder & harder to get them down. They are too thick for me so I drink them with a straw. I don't know how I'm gonna manage after surgery. I think I may try some of the protein juices. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app

Girl this liquid diet is so hard! I'm on day 8 of the required 10 days. And mine is strictly 2-3 protein shakes (Bariatric Advantage), water, broth, & sugar free Popsicles and Jello. The struggle is so real around here! I've slipped a couple of times, but all I had was bag baked salmon. In my mind I didn't do too bad because I ate something high in protein! What have you eaten?

May 9th is my surgery date & I'm ready! I'm on day 7 of the 10 day liquid diet. I'm looking forward to the day when I can have the baby food! I'm so over broth, lol!

I'm on a liquid diet and it's so hard. I started on April 29th & I've got 3 days left. I have to keep myself busy so I won't think about food! :-)

May 9th & I'm so ready! Been on this liquid diet for 7 days now & I can't believe that I'll be so happy to be able to eat baby food!

I may actually have to try this because I HATE Greek yogurt! I don't like the texture & it's a bit too tangy, but the idea of the jam and Splenda May just work for me.

I don't like Greek yogurt either, it's too tangy for me. I like the ones with fruit. Dannon is my favorite, but I know I've got to try something with less sugar.

Ohh no! I have to use the Bariatric Advantage Shakes also. I've heard that the orange and cookies & cream are pretty good. I think I'm gonna try the orange & strawberry shakes with skim or almond milk. I don't start until May 2nd but I'm ready! Good luck!

Thanks! I don't actually start my pre-op liquid diet until April 29th. But I'm ready! I have to use a brand called Bariatric Advantage. It's supposed to keep you full a little longer.
