I was sleeved on 8 22 16 & my doctor told me I had to come off of the pill for at least 2 months. I would talk to your doctor who is doing your surgery before you do the birth control thing to be safe.

I just got sleeved 8 22 16 can't eat any of it so no struggle this way lol. But the day before my surgery my brother had a bbq I went and just had Water. It was tempting but not worth me getting off track with my surgery.

Thank you for sharing this touching testimony to me! It really put a smile on my face! Congrats to you as well!@@SoExcited101, I'm so excited for you, too. There's a lot to be said for honest emotion.
My history since surgery hasn't been perfect. In fact, far from it. Nevertheless, you remind me of my lowest weight, 198, about 15 months post-surgery. I was at a follow-up appointment and was floored when I saw the scale. All weepy, I thanked my surgeon, my NP, my RD and the entire office staff of the practice. They all said that it was all my work, but I really felt that each of them, even the one or two I'd never met before, had a part in the process. It was a delicious feeling and I'm glad you're having your version now. Thank you for sharing it.

I have to admit I was kind of thrown off when I seen a MCDonalds question from 2011 then read this lol but I felt the same way myself. I was so over the liquids but in the long run it's worth it and you don't want to eat the wrong things and risk getting sick. Just drink plenty of Water and Protein it will pass. I know it seems easier said and done but I was sleeved 8 22 16 and I'm still on mostly liquids. I take it a day at a time. Stay positive and you will have a true testimony for the next person. Keep your head up!

Beautiful! At this time last year I was just waking up in recovery and weighed in at about 245lbs. My highest recorded weight was 255lbs. Today I am 168lbs. I still haven't reached my goal of 150lbs but I am happier just the same. I had no complications and have been able to eat pretty much anything (in moderation) as long as I do it slowly. I still struggle with crunchy, salty Snacks - definitely my number 1 vice. I've been exercising regularly and have so much more energy. The shopaholic in me loves being able to shop in pretty much any store now...my wallet not so much. Just gotta find a way to buckle down and say goodbye to those last 15-20lbs.

I had my surgery 8 22 16 as well and was told to just walk and wait a few weeks before doing weights and hard training. I also just walk around my house, the left side of my stomach still bothers me to be doing anything strenuous.

This is so awesome! My highest weight ever was 302 and I got down to 251 on my own but just struggled with the up and down yo-yo of losing weight then gaining for the past 3 years. food was an addiction to me and I needed help. I started having all of these issues with my health and I was so unhealthy. I'm so happy I got sleeved despite everyone who said I won't look right! I got sleeved 8 22 16, today I went to my follow up and I now weigh 214.6!!! I couldn't help but cry because I haven't seem that number in years! I still have a way to go but I'm so happy I let go of the negative people in my life and finally I'm doimg what makes me happy! I'm taking this journey one pound at a time! I'm just so happy!!

I am so happy to read this post cause I was sleeved 8 22 16 and I noticed my mouth gets dry and sometimes I have bad breath. I even made me a dentist appointment because I thought something was wrong but no tarter build up, no cavities and they said I do a good job flossing. I didn't have such dry and on and off bad breath until I had this surgery so thank you this post helps a lot
