  1. I was recently diagnosed with sjogrens and am about 20 lbs from goal weight but the extreme fatigue and joint pain has put a damper on any workouts that I may have concocted in my head[emoji36] and that is very frustrating! I was banded in 2013, removal in 2015 and VSG 10/20/16. Fatigue started in 2015 but I thought once the weight came off I would start to feel better but had no idea that I had sjogren until about 2 months ago. So I am still learning what the new me looks like.

I haven't lost anything in few months and a new diagnosis of sjorgens has kept me from pushing any workouts past walking (which I still do daily) put I am still determined to get the last 20 pounds off and keep them off. I am still learning my body with this new condition and at least this weight loss journey that I was already on prior to diagnosis is a benefit.

  3. I have what I call feeding days and non feeding days. Most days I can eat, some days I just can't get down more than a few bites. On top of that, the hungrier I am, the less I can actually eat. This is my new normal.

I do have a slight stricture and I love it. My doctor offered to stretch it but I said no. It keeps me honest. It forces me to eat slower, I can't tolerate more than two bites of soft breads, rice or potatoes and I have to take small bites and chew well or everything returns.

    It's seriously my best friend.

@ LipstickLady does it still hurt if you do eat too much or the wrong thing?

  4. I only had to do a 2 week liquid pre-op to shrink my liver in prep for RnY. I drank Protein Shakes, broth, tea, Water, SF Jello and SF Popsicles. The first 3 days weren't too bad. On Day 4 I was ready to gnaw my arm off and beat everyone around me with it! When I made it to Week 2, it was much better. Was told by my NP that most lose 9-15 lbs during this time, and I lost 9 lbs. Now down 30 lbs more since surgery date 6/20. Oh! Be sure to add fiber to your Protein shakes. ( I like Benefiber clear--no color, no taste. Or fiber gummies.) Otherwise, all that protein will really make you constipated! I ended up drinking all of my magnesium citrate meant for the day before surgery, in the middle of Week 2. It was THAT bad. Had trouble again the first 2 months after surgery and had to use stool softeners in addition to fiber. Never had this problem in my life! However, since I graduated to Stage 4 of the eating plan, eating fresh or steamed veggies every day does the trick. Yay!

  5. Hi, and did the unfilling solve the breathing problem?

For me it did but no answer as to what the problem was

  6. No solution or answer, but I also had breathing issues with my band. I was banded in August 2013 and about a year later started having breathing issues. My Dr. said everything was fine but ended up get it unfilled for relief and slowly began with the weight gain. I had the removal in August 2015 and hoping to finally have a revision this August to the sleeve.
