  1. Last March in 2016 was the last I ever had soda!! I used to be a heavy Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi! I will never have pop again maybe just maybe when I'm at my goal weight or maintenance phase. But right now I thank god im just addicted to Water and water is all I have to drink. It will be a year this march since I'm Soda free!! Water is the best suggestion for rapid Weightloss and of course Protein protein!!

  2. I think my solution was do not buy a scale, I am not concerned about number at this point, I am more concerned of eating right, Protein and staying hydrated. I got to the gym 3-6 times a week and I do an hour a day, they also have a scale so I set myself a goal and I said every 3rd of the month I will weigh myself. I understand the frustration, but do not give there. Keep going, I hit a few stalls. However it is not stopping me. Best suggestion is do not buy a scale. It becomes an obsession.

  3. I think calories & food in general is about 80% of it - exercise is the rest. If you aren't weighing, measuring, and logging what you eat, start doing that. Speaking just for myself, if I don't do that, I experience "portion creep" (fortunately, I'm pretty good at controlling *what* I eat - it's the *amount* that's always gotten me into trouble if I don't watch it carefully.....)

If you don't mind me asking how much do you eat a day and what do you eat??

My morning consists of cream of wheat 1/4-1/3, 4-6xs a day, lunch is usually a premier Protein shake, then later I'll have either baby gerber of refríed Beans o would say my calorie intake is about 500-600 a day, I know it's gonna take while DR did mention I have an 18month window too loose much weight as possible, but I was thinking I may have hit a stall or plateau.

  4. Hello! I am 1 week and 1 day post op. My first 3 days in hospital were rough but felt better everyday after that. Now I am having horrible heartburn and pulling pain from my largest incision. I am so scared I made the wrong choice, I have a full time job and 2 little kids. I feel so scared my life will never be the same. I'm trying to listen to positive meditative healing mp3s, anyone else have similar after surgery? Please any help is appreciated

    Hi,

I am right there with you, I had my surgery the same day as you, and I'll tell I really felt prepared but you can never prepare on what the outcome might be!! I been having a bit of regretfulness. But like my uncle said there no turning back what done is done, and I have to make the best of it. I had the RNY knowing it's complications prior and after there's nothing like living it and being real. Let's hang in there we got this, let's be positive and make some great remarkable memories!!!!

  5. Hi NudgieNemo85

I'm 9 days post op and let me tell you my experience was not good, as far as pain it was horrible and I feel somewhat regretful, I still do but I'm hoping things do get better with time!! As for the Nausea is the worst feeling ever, they had me on zofran and then phenegan, but at last I stayed with zofran and it has been working. I say if differs on everybody and I pray and hope for all of us who have the nausea goes away.

    Hi mama Lisa,

Yea well I'm a revision from band to bypass so I would figure mine is a higher risk. Surgery weight was at 332lbs. I pray and hope I don't have issues along the way. And this nausea is killing me. I get headaches ever now and then but dizziness and nausea is killing me bad!!!

  7. I had surgery the 22nd of November, and while I was there for 3 days they gave me levonox shots, however I was very disappointed becuz doctors did not prescribe me any levonox for when I'm home. Does anyone else have a problem with going home without levonox? I'm pretty scared of blood clots any suggestions, other than that I have been walking but what if I'm sleeping!!!

  9. If you have problems with really bad GERD and acid reflux I would go with the bypass. Also I know quite of few people with sleeve who have gained all there weight back, however I also know quite a few people who have gained weight with the bypass but only 15-30lbs back which is not much compare to the sleeve!! And I have seen sleepers revise to the RNY bypass. I just had RNY bypass done yesterday! It's painful but well worth it!!
