I just had RNY on September 26th, and all went great but it is so hard to get all liquids and Protein in this first week. I literally wake up at 6am to start and it takes me till 10 or 11pm and is extremely exhausting. I'm sure it will get easier but I just want to take a nap and that screws my whole schedule. But I am happy I had the surgery.

That's great kittmom! I just had my surgery yesterday. They haven't let me get up and walk yet, or have anything besides ice and sips. Pain is tolerable.

Just started 2 week liquid diet today. So far so good, but then again it's only day 1.

Well just found out my surgery got moved to Sept 29th .

Hi everyone! I just found out I got approved and surgery scheduled for Sept 12th. I start my liquid diet tomorrow. Wishing everyone luck!

I'm still waiting for my approval. It took the coordinator 2 weeks to send it in, the insurance had it for just about 3 weeks when the denied it because my pcp forgot to release me for surgery. Now it's been another week for reconsideration. I hope I hear some good news soon.

Hi all. I just finished all the required appointments, so now just waiting for insurance approval. Hoping for a mid-August date. Congrats to everyone and cannot wait to hear how everyone does!
