As 2 people so far have already voted on the 'other' category, they obviously didnt mind! lol
Im sure it was a way of being 'Politically Correct' not to assume just men or women use lapband talk.

I was a little concerned with this as well, but when I mentioned it to my GP he says there is no problem, different tablets get absorbed in different areas of the body. I was worried in case they got stuck above the band but after nearly 2 years of taking my same meds,I have had no problems. Good luck everyone in their band journey.

I would go for it! I too was a compulsive eater, emotional eater and just plaine enjoyed eating! I have found that the band tells me when to stop even when I dont want to and it has been my saviour. I couldnt have come this far without it,and now I find I donr think about food all the time, and wouldnt dream of trying to eat anywhere near half the amount of food I did before. Good luck on the journey.

:drool:Havent even tried since my band, but I also dont think I could even eat 1/2 of on..and no chance at all on the fries!

I'm not being snarly or sarcastic-but i don't feel full after eating, and I've never vomitted. why is this whole experience not working for me??:tongue2:The band isnt designed to make you vomit lol so you sure aint missing out on that!
Maybe you arent at decent restriction yet,it took me a few fills to get the full feeling.
If you check up some of my early days posts, you will read that I was thinking the band was not going to work for me,and I felt like a failure;but a few fills later,I was on track, feeling full and losing weight!
I will never say the band has been easy..it takes a lot of getting used to.Some days I would give anything to eat a fresh crusty chunk of bread and butter!
I have tried every diet possible, with weight loss and then weight gain at the end of it. I really think the band is the best thing I ever spent my money on and will never regret it.
Good luck to everyone on there journey. Its a bumpy ride at times, but well worth sticking to it!:w00t:

I would do it again in an instant! Although sometimes the band has its drawbacks and its hard to get your head to want less food, its the only thing that has helped me EVER get out of being morbidly obese! I feel better look better and would recommend it to anyone.

I find the SHOCK ABSORBER D MAX bras are simply fantastic! I am pretty busty and these bras just hold everything in place and no strain or bounce.

Hi there, dont panic about the fills, they dont hurt. You have been through the hardest and most painfull part-getting banded. I think they do numb the area, but its a tiny needle and all you will feel is a bit of pushing when it goes in and a slight pulling when it comes out. Its quite a nice feeling really as you know you will be closer to the weight loss journey at that point!
Happy banding.:w00t:

I wouldnt worry,Mine also stick out even when I havent eaten a meal and I can feel it easily. I think it just depends where your port has been attached inside.

We all have feelings no matter how tough we act .I can understand how it made you feel,I have been there myself when a snidey comment has been made..and yes can laugh it off at the time-but it still hurts like hell. Yes we have all made steps by getting the band, but untill we no longer feel selfconscious about our weight thoughtless comments will still touch a nerve. Good luck on your banding journey.
