  1. I haven't thrown up a single time since my surgery [2 months out]. My bad reaction to food is pretty much just heartburn telling me "shouldn't have done that!". However, my friend who's about a month out throws up pretty much constantly. What I'd say is that there is no 'normal'; people are different, and the way they react to the surgery is different. If you're concerned about frequent vomiting, I'd advise talking to your doctor. u.u

That's exactly what happens to me... almost 6 weeks out, I thew up twice, once the night after surgery and once the next morning, but haven't even been nauseated since.

If I could drink water like I did before surgery, it wouldn't be a problem, having to sip it all day, it's hard to get all the water down, I'm almost 5 weeks out, and I have built myself up to 2 and 1/4 bottles of water a day so 36oz water daily, 6 oz of Protein shake, 4-6oz puréed food, maybe 1-2 SF popsicles so I think that makes my 48oz min Fluid intake, or close to it

  3. So between pre op diet / surgery / post op diet I've lost about 32lbs& I can't tell.. not even in my face. I can still wear the same pants.. Same shirts. Anybody else? I started out 270& now I'm 238..

Is me not drinking enough Water gonna make a difference in this? I'm trying to force myself to reach my Water goals; Very hard since I was never much of a drinker anyways.. of anything.

I was at 221 today I weigh 199, I was sleeved on 12/8, and I don't see a difference when I look in the mirror, but my clothes say otherwise, I've cleaned out my closet once already, I still wear some clothes I wore before my sleeve, and I feel they fit the same, but my family says otherwise.

Omj!! YEESSSS! I was given Miralax, I've had to take it twice!! But it works wonders, the first time I had to take a dose that evening then again the next morning, just the other day I was having problems and took a dose and by morning it was all good I like Miralax because you stir it into 4ozs of Water and drink it, it has no flavor so it goes down easy. You a Nola girl?? Me too, now live in Texas!!

Yes I'm a NOLAGIRL living in Memphis,TN I've been blending the whey Protein with 1% milk and it gives me gas so back, but I've had BM since I posted that, so I'm going on 3 weeks out I've tried grits and eggs yesterday and it felt like it was stuck in my chest very uncomfortable feeling, I'm on puree foods but idk what to eat that will be good to me. I couldn't do refried Beans before surgery bcuz of acid reflux anyway I don't like it, any suggestions?

I totally understand, Proteins do that to me too, like they won't go down... I stuck to Greek yogurt and cream of wheat, now when I blend my meats I add broth or Water, blend them well, then strain it... Not the tastiest, but I can tolerate them.... I'm going on 5 weeks out and find I'm tolerating things better now. Last night I went out to a restaurant with my family, ordered bean Soup, smashed some of the Beans up with the juice and was able to tolerate it really well.... I also didn't use to know when I was full, but I'm learning what that feels like now. When I first started with puréed meats, I also tried to eat 2oz.... and realized I could only eat an oz comfortably. Each day will get better. Try eating just an egg, blend it up with some broth ( after I blend it, I nuke it a few secs to warm it up) you may tolerate it better... let me know how it goes!!
