  1. My sister has been on a keto diet for about a month and has broken out into a pretty bad rash. (No WL surgery). Anyone ever dealt with this? Any tips on losing the rash but sticking with the diet?
  2. I see solid answers to your posts, "What is a plateau, I've never heard of a plateau" and "What's a good gift for my surgeon"...
  3. Pay the $400 for an inspection. You don't want to miss something bc you wanted to skimp out on it. And, it will be leverage for your ultimate price in the end.
  4. I drink a lot of coffee. No problems here.
  5. Post-op here, but I am Atlanta. Had surgery through Emory bariatrics. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Good luck.
  6. A cheap one. I got a Ninja, but only used it like 10 times. I had a short period before soft foods were allowed, and really just made sure to chew everything really really well.
  7. Sciatica is one of the problems I was having before surgery. I am 6 months post op, down 85 lbs, and I still feel it. It is better, probably much better, but I still feel it every other day or so. I think it could resolve given more time to heal, and maybe with more lost weight.
  8. What's your sweet tooth entail? what do you like, how often, for how long?
  9. i was initially looking for an update option while visiting my profile.
  10. Same question. Thank you.
  11. You certainly have to consider the possible problems that you might experience, but the odds of complications are very very low. It's normal to feel nervous. This surgery is a miracle. I weigh less than I did in high school, and though my weight loss has slowed, I am still losing and have lost my obsession with food. That happened over night. Keep thinking of the reasons you want to take the plunge. Keep looking at before and after pictures on this site. Meet people through whatever program you choose for surgery.

  13. I would stay with soft, meaning fish. Not fried. And remember, you'll still be able to only get very little in. Don't be tempted by any appetizers your family might order. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Studies show that people the skip breakfast consume more calories in the late day causing more intake than those that to eat breakfast. That said, I would think that someone sleeved would not follow that pattern due to restriction. Only concern I would think is making sure you hit your Protein goals if you aren't eating in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I had surgery on a wednesday and was back half days the next thurs and fri before returning full time. I work mainly at a desk, and had some fatigue, but pain was not an issue. Good luck.
  16. Phone charger. That's about it. Good luck on Monday. It's gonna be great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. The irony aggiemae is that you would definitely qualify as Trumps spokesperson. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. it's a petty and cheap shot to denigrate this site for commercial gain. Why would anyone expect free apps and message boards and no way for those pulling it together a way to profit? Also, I would trust a hospital abroad more knowing it's been vetted. So what if there is financial gain. That's what keeps the world spinning. I hate to see so many people upset and the "mass" exodus. But people have not been treated right on this board since I have been here by some. I have no doubt that many people don't feel welcome or safe to ask questions without ridicule. We should all recognize that many people with weight issues that get us to a point of surgery are more fragile than most.
  19. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/380955-food-since-surgery/ I posted this a couple months ago. It's nice.
  20. I had surgery at 730 am and left the next day around 1230.
  21. I would guess your surgeon would want to see the terrain of your inner stomach before lopping it off from the outside.
