I'm with you! I used to drink about 120 oz. a day and now it's a good day when I reach the 64! Crazy thing is I do it well on the weekends, but during the work week, I struggle to get it in. I'm constantly on the go and can't carry my water bottle with me all the time, so on breaks I try to drink, drink, drink! I've actually started some "water breaks" in my classroom, to get more Water in. The kids need and I need it so it works out !

Thank You so much! This gives me a few ideas! I also sip on Bone Broth occasionally- 7g of protein per cup!

Thanks everyone! I am currently drinking 1 premier Protein shake (30 g) and today I added 1/2 of another brand Protein Shake in addition to eating pretty much every 2 hours. My body seemed to liek this better and I reached over 70g of Protein today!!

Hi, All
So I'm 5 weeks post op and am struggling to get 1/4 C. of food in at meal time. I'm supposed to be at about 1/2 C. but feel full just shy of 1/4 c. Now I find that I am hungry a little over every 2 hours. This then leads to having difficulty getting all my Protein,60g , in everyday. I'm considering having 2 Protein shakes a day in addition to food. Thoughts or any experience with this

HI all,
I'm 48 hours out of VSG surgery and all I want to do is sleep. My stomach is swollen and feels very sore. standing up from sitting position or laying is hard. Walking makes it feel better. Is this pretty typical for most people?

Wishing you the best with your surgery tomorrow. I have been on the liquid diet for more than a week and I won't be off it for another 3 weeks after surgery.
Wishing you a speedy recovery! See on the loser's bench tomorrow!

I'm on the 17th also! I have days when I am pretty good, but I have been taking it easy after work. I normally go to the gym 4 times a week, but I haven't been able to to make...just no energy. I'm on 5-6 Protein shakes and broth, SF Jello, SF popsicles. I haven't had more than 4 or 5 shakes a day. On Tuesday I am on a clean liquid diet so I picked up some cocotein coconut Water with 20g of Protein that i plan to use for the day before and after surgery. I am ready for this! 2 1/2 weeks of this and I am done!!!

I'm with you Ramona5555! I am actually very sick of Jello! I was never a fan of Jello any how. I've been on the pre op diet for a little over a week and I can't stand the flavors or texture anymore. I threw half a container out today :/.

I'm on my pre-op diet and just found this online. Has anyone tried the Swanson Flavor Infused Broths? On their website it says they are around 15 calories. They have Thai Ginger, Mexican Tortilla, & Louisana Cajun. Can't wait to try!

I'm on day 6 of my 2 week liquid diet and I am good at work and if I am busy. I keep to my schedule of having a Protein drink every 3 hours and a variety of broths, beef, chicken, and veggie and a SF Gelatin cup. I found if I don't stick to schedule I get very hangry...yes hangry . My only difficult time is making dinner for my family and sitting down with them as they eat their dinner and I have my Protein shake, broth, & Gelatin. I found having a variety of calorie free teas & flavored waters help between "meals". I would say make sure you keep on schedule with eating so you don't get hungry. Hope this helps!

Did anyone freeze some meals before surgery? I was thinking of doing so for at least the 1st week or so...thoughts?

I'm getting sleeved on August 17th. I work with toddlers so i am planning to take 4-6 weeks off. I work for a university childcare center and our academic year begins August 15th! I know it's a terrible time to take off, but I can do it then or wait until December. I was planning to just take a few weeks off, but with the weight limits and restrictions I don't think I would be ready after a few weeks. There is so much bending, lifting, and carrying that I think I am going to err on the side of caution and take a little longer. If there are an other ECE's out there, let me know how it went for you!

I was thinking of taking 4 weeks off but may do the full 6 weeks off. I work with young toddlers and we are constantly moving, lifting and bending. They recommend not lifting anything over 10 pounds for the first 6 weeks and I know myself well enough to know that if a child needs comfort or is injured my first reaction would be to assist. I'm not sure if IIA over thinking it or not.

Sore, burning pain

August 17th for me, and I was still sore around the 4 week mark. On Thursday of this past week, it just seemed like the pain went away. I didn't have to use my abdominal binder since Thursday! But call your surgeon when in doubt!
