I was on Wellbutrin SR twice a day before surgery, and I had to change to regular Wellbutrin three times a day after surgery. My surgeon explained that it was because your stomach is so much smaller it may not produce enough acid to break down the coating on the pills. It's a little bit of a hassle taking it three times a day, but Wellbutrin works well for me so it's worth it!

I had surgery on 11/17 too, and it's hard to get in Protein for sure, but don't let yourself get dehydrated. At least try to get in all of your fluids. I've had good luck with warm broth and sugar free Popsicles

Hello there! I am beginning my WLS journey with my first consultation appointment tomorrow! I am very excited, and pretty nervous too. My biggest worries are with my insurance- I have Cigna, which covers bariatric procedures. I'm 5'6" and about 258-260, so my BMI is a little over 40, which is the approval BMI of you have no other conditions. I know my insurance requires 89+ days of a physician supervised diet/exercise program for approval. My concern is if I do the 90 days, and then my BMI falls below 40, will surgery then not be covered?
Has anyone else experienced this?
