Ohhhh, as I avoid the political threads at all costs, I was missing the 'calm, rational discourses and fulsome discussions of viewpoints respecting all individuals and their opinions'! Thanks Luluc!

And DH and I are trying to find something bigger than our 12 cup but less than a 60 cup...we love our coffee! We each take a thermos with us to work in the morning - this is after having our 2 cups each first thing in the morning, and then we have another pot in the evenings... But as both of us are black, no sweeteners, there are no calories to worry about. And before you say it, we drink decaf in the evenings and during the day.

So I wonder how much my hari weighs? Too bad I can't do a Sinead hair-do - that is, bald. But I just don't think I could caryy that off with any style or grace!
-
Sadly, I don't.

I have to, I just have to. -
I did an additional 35 minute brisk walk last night. This morning instead of my usual swim, I used the stationary cycle at the Y, and received weight training. So I guess I will incorporate some weight training into my routine - occasionally! I'm going to lose those additional pounds and then some. I can do it. I can, I must, I will. Ummm - if I get a haircut, can I count those ounces too????
-
Shiny and SMS - I wish you success! Although that plan isn't for me, I will be interested to hear how you are doing.
-
last night did a very brisk 35 minute walk - carrying my knapsack and lunchbag This morning - 25 minutes cycling and 20 minutes on weight training (just received the training this morning, so now I have a clue what to do, and how to do it)

How wonderful! As someone who has done a lot of animal rescues and 'taming' feral cats, I know both the challenges and the satisfaction of doing this. Thank you for doing this.

PJTP - Happy Wednesday! The sun is rising and the air is dry. Apparently I had intended to take this day off of work; I forgot that until I signed in this morning. How sad is that - I forgot I was taking a day off.
-
Most likely....grumble grumble grumble!!!
-
Yeah Shiny!!! And you do NOT look like you weigh even close to 200 lbs... I would never make it as a 'guess your weight' hukster! I did an extra 30 min fast walk tonight...I'm gonna get that weight off!
-
Be strong Denise, hold fast! One cone tastes good but is gone in minutes; 5 pounds can linger...forever!
-
In that case Plain, perhaps you should be agitated in a solution of bleach and detergent.
-
Crunching leaves - can relate, and am enjoying it now. Looking out my office window, ther are lots of yellow, red, orange trees...but that soon means the trees will be bare. Cold biting wind on my cheeks? Nope, no pleasure in that! It is usually accompanied with cold fingers, chapped lips, hat-hair, and wet feet!
-
But it's fun though, right?
-
You crack me up, RSG!! Thanks for the chuckle!

Yesterday was 40 min of the treadmill - varying inclines and speeds. Today - 30 minutes swimming - front crawl non stop.
-
Yesterday B: ff yogurt S: an apple L: bowl of turkey veggie soup D: yogurt, apple slices with Peanut Butter spread on them (too much pb though) S: an apple (It's apple season, can you tell?)

That's a great NSV - actually, it is 2 NSV's. The fact that you aren't dreading the photo's is an NSV as well (it would be for me, that's for sure!). I had to giggle when you mentioned the matching shoes...for a second I thought you meant you were wearing two shoes that were the same! I once wore a navy shoe on one foot, with a black one on the other - it wasn't until someone commented in the afternoon that I noticed.
-
RSG and Ezma - I certainly hope it IS water. If those pounds don't disappear by next Monday, I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO angry/frustrated! Endured 40 min on the treadmill last night, and 30 minutes of swimming this morning. Have really got to work on the exercise regime this week.
-
So it is Tuesday morning now, and I am sipping/savoring my morning coffee...gotta enjoy it before the staff start arriving and the chaos begin! Last night, DH went out for a while, and I took the opportunity to watch a movie - one I haven't seen in about 35 years...Mary Poppins!! Oh how I enjoyed that - I provided the harmony in all the melodies. Such a great trip down memory lane...I'm still humming chim chimaree!

I would purchase as much land as I could near to ever-sprawling cities, and remote areas. I'd plant trees (or cacti, or suitable flora for the climate) by the bajillions in that land to protect the land. I'd purchase a huge tract of land in NE US/ SE Canada and open an animal shelter for cats and dogs with full vet services, no cages, lots of food, and room to roam. I'd pay for many university and colleges to train veterinarians. I'd have contractual arrangements with the students that in exchange for 5 years of service, I would pay for their education and associated expenses, pay them an outrageous salary, outfit small vans to serve as travelling free veterinary clinics and send them across N and S America to work providing neutering and vaccination services for free in every town, city, county, community and 2-bit crossroads. I'd donate scads of money to Greenpeace, and animal shelters. I'd send my brother and his sons on a skiing adventure to every country that has snow. I'd travel the world - I mean, how many people really travel to Iceland or Greenland, or inner Africa?
