I thought the sleeve was irreversible.Yes. I definately have this problem and have had to learn how to control it. It becomes a problem if you begin eating more carbs and it can be a vicious circle.
I started getting it when I began eating cream of wheat with some sugar in it for breakfast. It can be a pretty scary situation if you don't recognize the symptoms and have something prepared to deal with it.
I talked to my Bariatric team about it when it started happening and they suggested that if I am going to have cream of wheat for breakfast, I need to have a Protein rich snack about an hour later.
That definately does the trick for me but anytime I start letting to many simple carbs or sugar in I start having trouble with it again and once it starts for the day it can be hard to get it under control. I keep glucose tablets close by.
I would say recently in the last few month I seemed to have gotten a better handle on it but my sugar has gotten as low as 36 before I figured out what was happening. it happens very fast and it can be confusing so I have found it best to limit sugar for me.
I did read that there have been some instances where someone had such a bad case they had to have their surgery reversed. I never want that to happen to me.

Yes I'm taking all my Vitamins. I'm in three DC area and we're suffering from a heat wave. I go back to work in 3 weeks, but I pretty much stay inside especially during the heat wave. I can take in more Water (big sips), and I guess I'll have to do that to get more than 8 glasses of Water in every day.

What was the dehydration and malnutrition symptoms you experienced? Did you have to urinate a lot? I'm kind of experiencing the same thing I think.

Hello. I'm a first time user to b this forum, but I would like any feedback I can get. I'm 5 weeks out from the sleeve surgery and I am experiencing extreme Fatigue. I noticed it off and on after 2 weeks, but over the last two days I feel like I can barely move. I get all my fluids in (64 Oz Water, 2 premier shakes a day) and I eat 2 Oz of eggs, tuna or fish 3 times a day. I'm averaging just 600 calories more or less a day. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I'm menopausal and the anxiety attacks are driving new crazy. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I was sleeved June 22. I have lost 14 pounds so far. The past few weeks have been very challenging for me mentally. I like it's the menopause! Everyone say they can see I'm losing weight. My advice is to stay hydrated, get your Protein in, and surround yourself with only positive people.

Anyone experience low blood sugar readings post open? I'm 7 weeks post open and I'm constantly hungry, headaches, slight dizziness, and bouts of anxiety. My diet is pretty restrictive. I'm able to eat seafood (no shrimp), eggs, cheese, and now chicken, Turkey and non starchy vegetables. I did a reading this afternoon and I was at 65. Oh. Not to mention I only lost one pound in the past month.
