    Worried... advise please!

I too had the same problem as far as the weight loss not happening quicker like I thought it would. Look up other threads about stalls, it's a fact, so many here experienced it, it had me in tears! I'm six months out now and I'm okay with the stalls, the weight loss happens so just give it time. So thankful for all the others who posted their experience, it really helped me get through the more difficult times Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Acid Reflux

I take famotidine because of the long-term effects of some of the other medications but yes the heartburn is so severe sometimes! It's less and less as time goes on but sometimes it'll just pop up in the middle of the night and it hurts so bad, but I still do not regret my surgery Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    average weight loss

Someone posted this on another thread. Just remember everyone is different. I know my doctor didn't really allow me to have any food even pureed, for almost 2 weeks so I lived off of Protein drinks Jell-O, broth and Water until then. In the first five and a half months I'm down 100 pounds. My weight loss has slowed down substantially but that's okay I'm still trying my best to stay on track. I'm only losing 1 to 2 pounds in a week now. Best of luck on your journey! Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Work Time Off Notice

Like you, I am very private and didn't want to give anyone any information. All I said was I was having a procedure. I worked Monday I went in for surgery Tuesday and I went back to work the following Tuesday. Everyone is different. I'm sure you'll make the right choice. good luck! 10. Yeah I don't even bother doing major changes from my mobile phone app, I wait until I get to a computer. I was tired of driving myself crazy! good luck Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Please help!

Please do yourself a huge favor and don't beat yourself up over it, you just put your body through something major. 2nd, look up in the forums about stalling, there is so much information here about stalling which is what brought me here in the first place! Huge huge help to read about it!! Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Week 3 approaching 4 stall?

That question is what got me starting to post on here originally. Just look up some of the forums and you'll find that there's a lot and I mean a lot of mention about stalls Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App
  13. I have Kaiser as well and my primary doctor is the one who recommended the surgery. I have had absolutely no out-of-pocket share of cost, the only thing I'm paying for is $5 copay for any medications that I might need. Some plans might be different though Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Stuffing and bread

You can always try just a touch if you really really want to. I've seen a recipe online that uses riced cauliflower in place of bread for the stuffing, that might be an option Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Thank you!

Not only have I found some wonderful answers to my questions, but I've found comfort here which has really helped in my journey. thank you Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App
  16. Congratulations on being so persistent and dedicated to your new journey! I just turned 60 and a few weeks before my birthday I got the sleeve. I chose it because it's less invasive, even though my starting weight was 361, which is pretty high on the spectrum, 5 months out now and I'm two pounds away from my 100-pound mark. Just keep asking questions and choose whichever surgery you feel comfortable with. I'm so glad I chose the sleeve but agree with one of the posters who mentioned something about problems with heartburn, which started in my sixth week, but has really gotten so much better. My doctor has me on famotidine which is less problematic for the future. I only take it when I really need it. Good luck! Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Goal weight achieved!

Amazing, does not sound like you have lost the weight too fast, maybe it's because people are not used to us sticking with it and taking that weight off it just took them by surprise! you're doing a great job. congratulations! Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Needing Sleeve Buddies

Wow, that's great on the protein, I'm struggling to make sure I reach at least 60 a day. Great job!

    Losing weight to fast?

I had mine just a month before you and I'm at the 98 pound loss mark. Probably just about the same, but all of our bodies react very differently. First stall had me in tears but I'm hanging in there, it sounds like you're right on track and doing very well! Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Needing Sleeve Buddies

Sleeved June 7th 2016. I've been through the stalls, I just started the hair-loss at 5 month mark, thankfully I have a lot of hair so you really can't tell. The transition into even soft foods was a little rough but doable I think pea soup was my saving grace. The first stalls had me in tears but this group really got me through it by letting me know their experiences, I felt, at that point, I was no longer alone Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App
  22. Thank you so much for this information. I had never previously taken anything for acid reflux since I've never experienced it at this level. Your information put me at ease since I'm taking famotidine, it really does help. Thankfully I only have to take it a few times a week now Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

    Messed up

Like many have posted, please just stop and remind yourself why you put yourself through this surgery! My saving grace was pea Soup, you will find what you like, just remember to stick the guidelines they gave you I know it's hard but I know you can do it! I hope you're feeling better I'm so glad you reached out! I'm 5 months out but I still remind myself everyday why I did this, watching those numbers go down really helps too! Sent from my LG-H740 using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. "The stall" is what led me to this site. I was in tears and even cried a bit to the clinic's liaison, though I got scolded for even getting on the scale, she explained to me exactly what one of the previous replies said. Your body just had the hell shocked out of it and needs time to grasp what's going on! It lasted a couple of weeks but I listened to her and others on this site whom were EXTREMELY understanding and supportive. You will find your place and your body will follow, slow but definitely steady. Find comfort in knowing we are right there beside you and right here when you need to just talk to someone, no matter what stage you're at. I'm glad I am finally comfortable with this new life, I made the right choice and so did you Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App

Great idea! Why include some body measurements too??? I wish I had thought of that way back when.
