What did you do or not do for that great number.

As annoying as this is, I haven't done much besides just eat less. Basically since a month out of surgery I've eaten whatever I want, just in very small quantities. I also got a Fitbit which helps motivate me to work out!

I was sleeved 4 months ago and I'm down 65 lbs so far - 30 away from my goal weight. I'm feeling great! Here's a before pic and a current pic:

I was sleeved on July 18th. I'm feeling really good and have been able to eat a decent amount of food at each meal. I haven't weighed myself in a week or so, but since my pre-op diet I am down over 50 lbs which I am very happy about. Love my sleeve!

I wish I had experiences to share with you, but I don't. I haven't been sleeved yet. Have you asked your Dr for a prescription for Zofran, to help with the nausea? This might help you develop an appetite. I'm so sorry you are going through this. My thoughts are with you.
Thank you for the support. Yes I am on anti-nausea medication, but unfortunately it hasn't helped.

Hi -
I've posted something like this before, but did not get many responses. I was sleeved exactly two weeks ago (7/18). I have not been able to even get a bite of food, sip of Protein Shake, etc. in for DAYS. I'm talking like, maybe I've consumed 200 calories over a 6-8 day span. I went to my surgeon on Thursday and he seemed like he barely cared. He was just excited that I lost weight (surgery weight was 230 and my weight on Thursday was 215) and that my incision (I had a single incision through my belly button) looked good. He told me to just keep trying on the food. I feel like this is not normal. I throw up bile almost every day and I can't stand the sight of food, let alone smell it. I should add though that I have always been a very queasy person and I do throw up easily from being "grossed out", but I just need to find out if anyone else is dealing with this, or has dealt with it. I have zero energy and I try my best to walk but it is hard when my body is running on fumes. The only thing I have been able to do is drink Water all day.
Please help!!

Hi everyone! I was sleeved 7/18/16, so I'm just over a week post-op. My surgeon has us go right into puréed foods, but I honestly cannot eat. The only thing my stomach will allow me is Water, which I drink plenty of. Protein Shakes, yogurt, etc. I can only have maybe 1 oz of. I am worried this will effect my health. I am going to my doctor tomorrow so of course I will ask him about this too, but I figured I would see if anyone else has had this issue.

I also was sleeved in 7/18 and have lost 8 lbs as if this morning. Feeling better everyday!Update:
It's been 5 days since my surgery and I am actually feeling really good! The head hunger I struggle with at times, but I am definitely battling through it. My weight on the day of surgery was 229.8 and this morning I decided to weigh myself and I am 221. Pretty happy with those results in only 5 days - thank you sleeve!!!

I came home yesterday and my pain was through the roof, probably because I had a single incision through my belly button, so all the pain was focused in one area. This morning I am feeling a bit better. I'm looking forward to the day I wake up with no pain so that I can really start to appreciate and enjoy my new stomach

So I just got home from the hospital. My surgery was yesterday and I felt totally fine in the hospital - barely any pain on my incision (I had a single incision through my belly button) or gas pain.
I've now been home for two hours and my pain is almost unbearable. I have a constant feeling that I need to throw up, my belly button is brutally painful, and my body is so swollen I feel like a balloon. I know I need to walk and sip Water, but walking is almost impossible right now, even though I took my pain medication.
Did this happen to anyone else? Does anyone have any tips for me?

Officially sleeved! Surgery went amazing. I am happy to report that I have ZERO pain/soreness. I feel very lucky! I've been able to go on long walks in the hospital and I feel excellent. I hope everyone else who had surgery today is having the same luck!

Surgery will be tomorrow (7/18) at 11am. I am so nervous! Today was tough with only Clear Liquids, but I am battling through it! Who else is getting sleeved tomorrow?

I went on one myself! A week before my two week liquid only pre-op (that I am in now, on day 4) I completely cut out caffeine/soda and carbs, and only had a Protein shake for breakfast/lunch and then some grilled chicken for dinner. It helped so much and now the liquid only pre-op diet has been a breeze so far.

I am with NY Barbaric also, who is your doctor? I am on day 1 of the liquid diet and I was thinking the same thing that I don't know how I am going to drink two of these today. I think I may plan to have one for Breakfast and one for dinner and have broth and Jello in between. Surgery date 7/20!

I'm glad I'm not alone! I am with Dr. Garber. What about you?
Day 4 of being officially only liquids and I just cannot seem to have anything. My daily intake has been:
1 diet Snapple
And I am SO full all of the time. Weird! I am going to call the NYB offices tomorrow and ask if I am doing anything wrong.

I was sleeved 9 months ago and have lost 133 pounds. I am 37 years old and feel like I've been given my life back. It is totally worth it to be able to have the help to get the appetite under control. I have so much energy and ability to go go go and get things done.
133 lbs in 9 months?! That is amazing!!! I am so happy for you. Thank you for sharing - this helped me get even more excited for my surgery!

Try to cut your toenails. Now imagine this not being a chore. I still remember holding my breath and straining to get to them. Now I can just sit down with pair of clippers and get them done with no planning required. It's the little things
Ugh can't wait for that! I'm tired of hoisting my leg up to tie the laces on my sneakers!!! Thank you for sharing

We are all on these together! Do you have an unflavored Protein that you tolerate or like now? If so what is it? I'm starting to look for one.Thank you for your response! I just started taking a multivitamin and I'm definitely going to shoot for two whole Protein shakes today - whether my body likes it or not! I'm making sure to drink plenty of Water as well.

I am kinda anxious for the PreOp liquid phase. I'll be out of town working for most of it. I told my colleagues that if I get too drained during the trips, I might be out of commission and do the behind the scenes stuff from my hotel. I have a pretty competent team so they should be good.

I've been sticking to my doctor's specific Protein Powder (NY Bariatric Group Protein), as well as Ensure pre-made Protein drinks. I haven't really been able to handle broth at all, even the low-sodium broth is too much for me!
I am also away for work right now (right in the middle of my pre-op diet)! It's actually much better I think. I made sure to prep and buy plenty of the pre-made Protein Drinks so I could grab them and go. I also brought packets of crystal light to add to my waters for some flavor. Being away is actually helping me keep very busy. I was worried because my job is active - I'm a youth sports director and coach. Exercising (I am constantly on my feet coaching and demonstrating) has helped curb any hunger I think.
When is your surgery date?

I went from not being able to walk to my mailbox to hiking at dawn with a backpack full of camera gear; from believing that food was my only pleasure in life to understanding that eating well is a pleasure, too; from feeling 80 at the age of 50 to feeling 40 at almost 60; from being almost unable to hold my grandchildren to getting down on the floor with them. At nearly 60 years old I am beginning a second career as a wedding photographer! No one wanted to have this surgery less than me. At 3.5 years out I'm still overweight, still consciously decide every bite that will go in my body, and still proudly think--EVERY SINGLE DAY!!--I never could have done this before! It's a journey! Hard, scary, frustrating, thrilling, and absolutely amazing!! Just do it!!
Amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing, and congrats on your new career! XO

Hi Everyone,
So my surgery is less than two weeks away - July 18th. I'm hoping some of you can share your weight loss with me as a little motivation! Thanks in advance for helping me out

Hi Everyone!
So I started my pre-op diet semi early, I've been doing it for about a week already (I have been allowing myself 1 1/2 cup of chicken a day apart from my Protein shakes and I had one cheat day where I allowed myself a "final meal"). Now I am on day four of an official all liquid diet (no chicken at all, just shakes) - my surgery is on July 18th so I'm a little under two weeks away!
Here is my problem - I am NOT hungry at all and cannot for the life of me finish even two Protein Shakes in a day. I've managed about 1 1/2. I just feel so full I can't fathom having to put anything else in my body. Is a concern? I'm loosing weight pretty quickly..I haven't checked the scale in a few days, but as of Sunday I lost 12 lbs since the Sunday before (one week). I am, of course, happy with the results, but should I be concerned that I am not consuming more than maybe 200 calories a day? My body just doesn't want it and I still have 12 days until my surgery.
Sorry for the rant!! Just need some advice and wanted to see if maybe this happened to other people.
Have a great day! xo
