I wasn't diagnosed pre-op but I know for a fact I had a food addiction and was beginning a binge/purge cycle. I had been doing pretty well and was being super strict with myself for about 5 months. For the last 3, I've been telling myself 'one won't kill me', or 'I'll just work it off later'. But that, just a few bites of chips or Pasta have turned into binge fests where I eat more than I should until I feel sick. And I keep doing it. I feel so at a loss.

Oh Yeah One! Bars are super good. The et carbs are kind of impressive. Unfortunately they are high in calories, so I only get them as a treat every now and then

Hey, so, if you're stalling a week and a half out, that's totally normal. I dropped like 20 pound sin 2 weeks, then slowed, then sped up again, then slowed, and now 7 months out I'm about 1-2 lbs a week. Stalls happen. It's part of the process. I wouldn't rush into fatty Proteins so early in your process. Stick with lean Proteins always, and a little further out, a fattier meat would be okay every now an then.

I've been eating the Pure Protein Bars, thinking the macros were pretty good... but the carbs are pretty high. Is there a high Protein Bar out there that has 20+ grams of Protein, low carbs, and low sugar?

My stats are similar to /yours/. I am 20, 5'2", SW: 283, CW:224, 3 months post op. On the exact same exercise level as you. Having trouble eating my Protein and drinking my water!Hi! My stats are almost like you. I'm 25, female, 5'2'' and SW: 255, CW: 202. The only difference is that I'm over 3 months post-op (not too far from you). I have just started to work out at the gym a week ago. Last week I worked out 3 times for 30-45 minutes each. I'm shocked by how much more energy I have. I'm already able to walk 3.5 mph and at an incline. I'm also able to bike at 90-100 rpm. Every time I go back to the gym, it's so much easier than the time prior. I've plateaued a bit, as well. I haven't gained any weight, but I've noticed the weight loss is much slower than it was (only losing 1-2 pounds each week). I don't think I'm eating enough, and when I do eat, I'm not eating what I should. I'm not drinking 64oz (maybe only 20oz) and I'm only taking in about 40-50g of Protein a day.

Does anyone want to form a kind of accountability group text or something? I need to be checked up on, and I feel like it'd be nice to get a friend group of people who have all bee through a similar experience.

I'm 3 1/2 months post op and I have fairly regular gastrointestinal pain. It feels like unyeilding pressure. It makes me think that it's gas, but I'm not sure. Sometimes certain things like lying down, moving around, or curling up in a ball relieves it, but sometimes it doesn't. I'm fine until the pressure hits. Then I'm absolutely miserable. I get overheated and I start to panic a little when I can't get it to stop. Anyone else having this issue?

This is what I'm afraid of. How far out are you?
3 Months.

So... my hair is starting to fall out. And I have VERY thick hair, so it's not very noticeable to others but it is to me. And my nails are chipping and very weak. I am taking a Multivitamin and extra B12 supplement. I am getting 60 grams of Protein a day too. Why would this still be happening?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if any of you have specific exercises you do for your inner thighs and lower stomach areas. I just can't seem to accurately target those places. If I'm sore it's always my outer thighs, upper core, and my shoulders. So I feel like I'm not doing much for my thighs and stomach. Any tips?

I'm 2 1/2 months out and I just finished an absolutely disgusting vat of liquid vitamins. What brands to you all recommend, taking into account health, flavor, and price? I was considering Multivitamin gummies or chewables but I wanted advice first. Thanks!

I was wondering what all you vsg pals use as Protein supplements. I'm wanting something less volume than Protein shakes, but same value. I would prefer unflavored, and something that isn't ridiculously expensive.

My surgeon is very careful and I am now 5 weeks post op and I am just moving into the pureed stage, not the soft foods phase. I am having problems finding high Protein purees. I can have refried Beans and cottage cheese. I need something else other than Protein Shakes after 4 weeks of them. Does anyone have a way to deal with this? Or any tips?

I am 10 Days post op. Yesterday I had a major melt down about watching my family eat what they want in front of me. Before this point, I had a food addiction, and having surgery doesn't fix that. I live in the south, and food has always been apart of my life as an interest and an unhealthy obsession. I did this to physically limit myself because my will power isn't enough. I'm using it as a tool and a motivator. Has anyone else faced emotional issues concerning their eating problems? How do you combat it? Does it get better?

I'd love a buddy in Louisiana, preferably in their 20s-30s! I'm 8ish months out and I'm having some trouble staying on track. A buddy would be great!
