  1. Honestly, 14 lbs in 3 weeks is good! I lost 8 lbs the first week, then I didn't lose anymore until week 4. I soon as I started pureed at 2 weeks out, I hit a stall that lasted another 2 weeks. You can't compare yourself to everyone else. Just get in your lean Protein and Water and it will all work out. I'm 4 months out now, and I've lost a total of 71 lbs (including pre-op loss). The sleeve is a great tool but you have to be patient with it.

  2. I lost 8 lbs the first 2 weeks and then didn't lose any the next 2 weeks. It's called a stall. I am now 4 months out and I have had as many weeks of stalls as weeks of losing weight. It's part of the process. 20 lbs in 2 weeks is a HUGE amount of weight loss!!! You HAVE to be patient. I am 4 months out and I've lost almost 70 lbs. It's worth the patience.

  3. I agree, it is hard to watch others lose faster. I avg between 1-2 lbs a week now and it's been like that since my 2nd month after surgery. I do know I am losing inches because I keep having to go down in clothes size. I'm not eating anything/everything I want and honestly, I hope I will stay this careful the rest of my life, because I feel so much better having healthy food in my body. It's not to say that I won't allow myself a slice of pizza or birthday cake every once-in-awhile but it's not the norm. Try to not compare yourself to others. We all have different body shapes, ages, metabolism. I'm in my 50's now and I started with a lower BMI, so I know I will lose slower. Now that I am within 20 lbs of goal, it will even get slower. I anticipate it will take me 3 or 4 more months to lose this last weight. Good luck with your journey. Just persevere and you will be successful

  4. You lost 20 lbs in 10 days!!!!!! That's a lot of weight loss in a short period of time. This weight didn't come on over night and it won't fall off over night. You have to be patient and let the process work for you. I am 3.5 months post op and I've probably had 6 or 7 stalls. Just keep working the program and you will lose weight. Stay off the scales and just measure how you are physically feeling and how your clothes are getting looser.

  5. I bet you are building muscle too. Stair climbing really builds up the legs and booty. I'm 3.5 months out and I've had several stalls. They are very frustrating but I just keep following plan, journal everything and exercising. My clothes are getting smaller and the weight is coming off so I'm satisfied; However, I may only lose 5 lbs a month now. I would definitely measure yourself or go by what your clothes are showing you, instead of just the scale. You can do this!

  6. I was on liquids the first 2 weeks after surgery and I lost 8 lbs. The next 2 weeks while I was on pureed, I didn't lose a single lb. I started losing again on soft foods. I am 3 1/2 months out and I hit a 7-10 day stall every month. I now lose about 1-2 lbs a week. The scale is moving down and I've gone from a size 18 to a 12/10 so I'm happy with my progress. I need to lose about 20 more lbs so I know I'm going to continue to lose really slowly. You just have to be patient with the process. Many, many stalls are going to happen during your journey. Just follow your plan and exercise. The weight will come off.

  7. This is all normal. The swelling has subsided. Like mentioned above, yogurt will go down easily. That's why it is often allowed during the liquid phase. Once you start eating more solid foods, you will feel the restriction more. Also, some days you will feel fuller quicker than others. I will measure out 3 oz of meat. Some days I can eat all of it and think I could probably eat more. Other days I can't even eat 2 oz. This is why I measure everything I eat! When I get too full or eat too quickly, I always get the hiccups. I can use my sleeve as a guide most of the time, but not all of the time. Measure, measure, measure.
