How much did you lose during pre op?
No pre-op diet ordered! thank goodness. Just healthy eating patterns and we are given the tools needed post op to start using after surgery. Such as Protein with carb for snack, (low carb of course) and eating every 3 to 4 hours, increasing fluids. Every thing we are supposed to do now.

6 days post op and I've broken down...mentally struggling :(
Hey, believe me I get your drift. I'm eight weeks out and I too felt that way at first. It gets a lot better. Don't give up. Pretty soon, you get used to not eating very much and when you can wear clothes you've never worn before or not in years, you will so be happy. God bless you and keep you and please pray about it! I pray every day for the Lord to lead me and guide me in this long journey ahead of me! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

11 weeks post op today. Slow slow too slow
You have lost 64 pounds!! wow. There is not way you are not going to loose wt! You have a baby stomach now. It will come. Seems like I hit a standstill about every 3 weeks. I am in one now as I am 9 weeks out. I did not have to loose wt prior to surgery and I am down 37.4 pounds. If you had not lost all that weight before hand, you would be down more! Keep up the good work! I am from MS! Had surgery 7/21/16. Our stats are probably close. I am down from 251.7 to 214.7 since surgery. Good luck

Getting VSG in August at the age of 54
I am 54 years old and had my surgery July 21, 2016. I am averaging 2 to 2 1/2 pounds a week but I know overtime this will add up. I'm not as young as I used to be. This is one reason I had to have surgery as I had lost the ability to lose weight. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Layered Mexican in a Mason Jar (Purée)
I do not limit what kind of foods I eat except those that are fried, no breads, pastas, rice or concentrated sweets or those that irritate my already dinged gall bladder. I cook for my family but of course it is healthier now and I make my tiny plate! I have not deprived myself at all! I do not want to fall back into some of my bad habits: high carbs. I am losing about 2 to 2.5-3 pounds a week. VSG 7/21/16 Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Help... I really need to poop
Try Dulcolax suppository, fleets enema glycerin suppository. Need to move bottom out so top can pass through. I had to use suppository every other day until I got better. Then add Peri-Colace. Take two at bedtime. See if you can find capsules. I don't know if they make capsules but the pills or not hard to swallow but they seem to sit there in my pouch but I usually go to bed to keep from feeling that Little bit of fullness. Not feeling full
Some foods go down very well while others are more difficult. In the puréed mushy stage most everything goes down smoothly. you do occasionally feel fuller on some of these foods, e.g. eggs for me. When you get to real food, you will notice a full feeling difference. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
