This is great to know because I too haven't been experiencing that fullness that I was anticipating either but I'm only 1 week out and have only had broth, Jello and Popsicles.Yogurt and tuna are very different. Yogurt is not dense Protein and it tends to slide right through your pyloric valve, thus your restriction is not engaged. Also, at two weeks out your stomach nerves are still healing and aren't necessarily capable of reliably telling your brain that you shouldn't give it any more food. That's why it is so important to measure or weigh a small portion and eat that, and only that, regardless of what physical signals you may or may not be getting. Good luck!

Awesome, thank you for the info. You should be fine. By the way, Celebrate makes two kinds of chewable Multivitamins, one is a soft chewy and the other is like a sweet tart. Both are good.

Thanks ShelterDog64. I seemed to be the worst off of all the patients there at that time. I kept apologizing to the nurses for being such a PITA. They were all amazing and took great care of me.

I just had RNY with Houseworth June 20. He's very talented and experienced but doesn't check on you much post op which was disappointing because I had a rough go with it in terms of pain and would have liked to hear from him why I was having such a hard time.

I work in Seattle and am a single Mom so the best time for me is on the weekend when I'm not trying to be superwoman.

Dr. Houseworth. I had RNY GASTRIC bypass though. It would be cool to meet up sometime. :-)

My surgery was on a Monday and I was discharged on Wednesday. I had to stay an extra night until my pain could be managed.

Pretty good now. I had a rough go at first with the pain but I'm doing better now. I'm trying to figure out when I'll return to work. How are you?

I had RNY on 6/20 and although my surgery was a success, I experienced horrible pain. I couldn't get comfortable, couldn't sleep, the pain was all over my tourso and into my back. They gave me pain meds orally but no IV self serve of which surprised me. I ended up staying 2 nights in the hospital and since I've been home I'm doing better but still a lot of pain. When did you start adding Protein shakes? I'm looking forward to adding those in and mashed potatoes! Right now it's all Popsicles, Crystal light, Jello and broth.
