  1. Hey everyone. I hope all is still going well. I'm sorry I've been absent. My sister passed away last week on the 7th. She just turned 45. Needless to say I've been taking it pretty hard. Definitely puts things in a more clear perspective for me as far as mortality goes. She was getting so much better. God takes the best.
I have a follow up appointment tomorrow. Things will get easier I know. Going to start seeing a therapist next month.

  2. Hey there. I'm so glad you all are well. I am too. I do still have that full feeling and it makes me sad sometimes because Water even does it to me. And food is such a chore. I just don't want to eat. Life really is getting easier. I can bend and twist and bring my foot to my head if I wanted. I haven't done that in years. I'm sure it's not pretty but it can happen.

Pam we have a meeting Monday night at 6pm. Are you going?

  3. Surgeon's office got me in right away. They said it was a disposable stitch my body was rejecting & causing infection. She pulled the stitch and told me to clean it really good and it will heal really fast now. Thank the lord. I thought I did something wrong. They said I should get back on track now that I'm home. And since my scale was broken I couldn't weigh so now they said I lost 15 lbs since I was there 2 weeks ago. I knew my stinkin scale was lying and broken. I don't feel like I lost any lbs though. But my broken scale is what kept telling me I wasn't losing. I bought a new better one today.

  4. Hey all...I'm really struggling. I was gone for 8 days...I barely ate or drank. I know I'm not getting my Water in. I feel lousy and my legs are swelling again. One of my incisions has gotten infected and is not healing. I'm just a mess. I haven't lost any weight for 2 weeks I think. Which is ok but my abdomen is bloated out like it was before surgery. Why can't I ever win.

  5. I'm so glad to hear you ladies are doing good. I love that we are all at different stages so we could get different views on our journeys. Stay warm all.

I need to ask for prayers if you don't mind. Not surgery related... my older sister has had leukemia for 8 years, she was in remission for a long time...but last year her cancer was active again. She's gone through so much. She has 2 sons ages 13 and 8. My mom and younger sister are taking care of them. Recently she has gone through a muscle deterioration that has caused the hospital to place her in a nursing home permanently. After numerous attempts at physical therapy, they said she has no hope for recovery. She's not even able to feed herself at this point. I'm so scared she's just going to give up. My mom is going to raise her kids. My nephews have been through so much with this. I'm going down there to Missouri for a week to help the family pack up my sisters house, and moms house to get them moved to a place that can be big enough for the boys and mom and my younger sister. Please pray for my sisters recovery. I'm not convinced this is it for her. I believe in my heart she doesn't want to leave her babies. She's only 44. There just has to be more. I'm worried about making this trip in bad road conditions, but I also don't want to miss spending time with her.

On a good note I get to meet my new grandson and see my granddaughter. Yay me.

I leave in the morning (Saturday) for Missouri. Please keep saying prayers for my family to be in a better happy place....and my sister to experience a miracle for her and her kids sake.

  7. Good morning ladies, I am feeling a bit better. The right opening is sore, but that is normal.

I'm glad you both are doing so well
