  1. My daughter is one year out of gastric sleeve surgery. She has done very well but in the last couple weeks she has been experiencing very high liver enzyme’s and Billiruben in her urine. She is in the hospital right now and they have ruled out Hepatitis. They do not seem to be paying much attention to the fact that she has had gastric sleeve. She only drinks alcohol socially. And she is only 24.Has anyone heard of this complication a year after surgery or more?

  2. He sounds extremely arrogant and ignorant. Talk to you your primary Dr. “no woman......” really? What a chauvinistic remark. Completely inappropriate. First of all, the number on the scale is not the only factor. Its not even the most important factor. It’s the percentage of body fat you loose. Exercise and lifting build muscle and muscle burns fat even when you are resting. Being healthy and strong are excellent and very appropriate goals. Great for you. Shame on him.

  3. It has been the very best decision I have ever made in my life. First weeks were hard. Trying to get used to what was real hunger or head hunger and what was gas etc. Now I am very rarely hungry and it amazes me every day how little i crave anything or how little I eat. I am down to 178 and I have been at my longest stall of 3 weeks. I'm not worried I know it's normal. I feel like a different person. I run up and downstairs like I am 18 again. I literally feel little. I'm loving my sleeve!!! Good luck. You are in for a great transition.

  4. @Torriluv87 I think that it is our nature to struggle. I have been were you are. What makes the difference is if you let your mind trick you into thinking it's ok to continue on that path. Take 20 minutes literally alone and have a conversation out loud with yourself about where this path will lead you and how you feel if you allow that. Start tracking your food again if you stopped. This is your journey. Your still in it to win it..... for YOU and you sound fantastic and normal. Good luck!

  5. Thank you all for responding. Now on top of it I am all of a sudden having a problem getting my crystal light down. Only thing that goes down good are my shakes and yogurt and I am supposed to be on my second week of soft foods. Everything I try seems to just feel like it's sticking in my esophagus for a long time. I chew every bite and only take a bite the size of a pea.
