I think it's hard after decades of giving in to our cravings to know you can't have your basic comfort foods. Unfortunately surgery doesn't take away the mental urges to eat them. I'm 9 days post op and with my limited diet right now I am craving the taste of so much!
I will continue to "ride the crave wave" and not give in but that doesn't make it easy.

This morning the scale finally read 199.8!!!! I had surgery on 5/16/16, my highest weight was 252, surgery weight was 226.4.....So a total of 52.2lbs down!!
I know with my current weight being so close to 200 I may very well see that 2 again......but dang it, I made it and I'm going to cheer about it!!!! Yay me!!!

2 weeks post op and today finally my surgeon said I can move to the pureed stage. Plus down 16lbs plus the 10 I lost in my 2 week preop diet so all together 26lbs so far. It hasnt been easy but everyday gets a bit better.

Chrisinc2- I was sleeved on 7/5 and struggling with growling and gas pains in my stomach with everything I drink. You are definitely not alone.

Had my sleeve done 7/5. Is anyone else second guessing the decision? I am struggling to even drink 20 ounces and find a way to get Protein. How is everyone else doing it?

I'm set for July 5th. I start my liquid only diet on Tuesday. I'm only nervous about post surgery pain.
