I am not sure it could of gone smoother. Little discomfort timely healing and average weight loss. I followed my surgeons instructions and am very happy with results. Good luck with your journey and hope for a similar experience for you!

Thanks!! Congrats to you!! I usually ask for tables at restaurants and tonight they were taking me and a friend to a booth and I decided to stay quiet. I fit!! It was an amazing feeling!!

@@mcplu28 A little perspective: You lost 42 (43?) lbs in 3 months on your own. I HAD THE SLEEVE DONE, and I lost 52 in 3 mos...to me, that means you're kicking ass
Our docs will do the sleeve on very high BMI patients and then revise to bypass or DS when they've lost some of the weight. Do get a second opinion, for your own peace of mind if nothing else.

I'm definitely looking forward to experiencing THIS NSV! Last weekend, I met up with some friends...as we were ushered towards a booth, I panicked a bit. I fit, but just barely. Luckily, I was with a very close and wonderful friend who "measured" her side of the table with her menu, and as it turned out to be a few inches larger, we switched. It could have been worse, but my friend was so great about it...very matter of fact. Later on, I told her about my plan to get the sleeve.

The insurance coordinator in your surgeon's office might know, but it's unlikely that the surgeon himself does.
Your particular BCBS plan may not be based in the state you live in. I live in Washington state but the BCBS plan my husband's employer offers is BCBS of New Jersey. You should call your insurance company yourself, giving them your policy number, to be sure.

Really!? Do you think it varies by what state you are in? Well now I am really confused!
