  1. Different question......how is your weight loss going ?

Reason I ask is that the more successful my weight loss efforts are.....the better I feel about everything.

The endorphins released from a good gym session are like a natural high......way more effective than beer and cigarettes. No kidding. I used to smoke like a freightrain and drank my weight in beer every month......now do neither.

Is there a way you get some time in every week to do something really physical.....that leaves you wiped out...sore.....but feeling good for the effort ?

If not....then I hope you can get those feels in life really quick. Good stuff.

Sorry....as none of this was a direct answer to your question.

I've lost 55 lbs so far.... It seems easier to grab a beer or 2 and a smoke to ease the feelings until my meds start to level out... I don't get belligerent or destructive when I drink, just happy.... My wife isn't happy because I'm drinking by myself.... I'm going to start getting more active again now that it is cooling off outside.....

  2. Ok, I don't want any negative feedback on this... Has anyone one else had a problem with anxiety after surgery? I had issues before but once my meds where good, I had no issue... After, my meds, and body adjusted and the only thing I can keep the feelings in check with is a beer and a cigarette.... I'm working with my doctor to try and get my anxiety meds straightened out.... Fast..... Anyone with similar issues? Or with drinking issues? My surgery was June 7th......

  3. So having low energy is a common thing with this surgery? I'm 11 days out and just haven't experienced a boost in energy yet. I keep telling myself that I haven't really had much for calories (still on full fluids) and I also haven't had a ton of Protein. I want to really get back to exercising but man, I'm not sure right now.

It is common but, I didn't think it would last this long... I'm back to work and fairly active.... I know my body is still changing but dang, I'm ready for energy!!!!

  4. I was just sleeved on Wed (June 15th) so I'm only 3 days out. I can thankfully say that I am not in any pain (a little uncomfortable but nothing I can't handle)

But this feeling in my stomach is getting on my nerves. LOL I cannot stand the feeling of when I try to drink something. It's like it goes down, hits a certain spot, stays there for a couple seconds and then finally passes through to the stomach. It doesn't really hurt but is uncomfortable for a few seconds.

Nurses said it was normal and all but can someone tell me how long this lasts for? Hopefully, this isn't going to be the new normal. If it wasn't for this weird feeling in my stomach, I would be totally fine.

Only lasted a few days with me also....

  5. Yayyyyy!!! Today is the last day of my liquid diet and Tomorrow 6/20 is my surgery!

Just wondering if there is anything special other than the usual things yu pack in yu bag for a stay at the hospital that should be in my bag?? I'm so excited I don't want to forget anything!!

Well keep me in your prayers cause tomorrow I will officially be Sleeved!!!

    Soon2B Sleeved

Not really much to take.... unless you have a cpap machine or something like that.... toothbrush and toothpaste.... I was out 24 hours after the surgery.... just wore comfy shorts and a T-shirt there and back..... best of luck to you!!!

  6. The first two or three days are the worst.... once the hunger pains go away, it isn't too bad. Find a few different choices for Protein so you don't get burned out because, after surgery, you will have a few more weeks of the liquid diet as well.... stay away from the kitchen as much as possible because, there is a lot of temptation there.... it will go by quick... my 2 week post op appointment is Wednesday... I'll be starting pureed food soon... once you see the weight start dropping with the liquid diet, you will feel better about it.... good luck....

  7. I had this talk with my wife also... she is all about supporting me but, I had to tell her that was like slapping me in the face..... she understands now and knows it is hard already, let alone watching and smelling that stuff.... good luck.
