I came home from surgery last night from Monday's surgery. I am real sore,but am able to get around, and drink as much as possible. Did not sleep at all night at hospital so I was glad to be home. I'm taking it slow and keeping my pain level under control. Tomorrow, will work on getting more Protein in my body. Looking forward to feeing better and my old self again. I have a tentative date for Aug 8th. The Dr didn't feel I would have any problem after finishing my nutrional class. It is this thurday then my ins will be notify will my reports. The surgeon 's office believes it would take no longer than 2 weeks for approval. We gave a 3week window. Hopefully, I find out soon from insurance so I can let work know. I work in the dental field for over 35years. My only concern was that you never mention a night guard, or a bite plane to wear to protect these teeth. If you wore these teeth down you must protect the new ones. Shade 010 is lighter than even B1. If your that pale you could wear that shade. Whiten up your natural teeth first while your wearing invislign. Always protect your veneers or crowns while having surgery by always telling the hospital about the fact you have them. Good luck. Hi everyone I'm knew to this group. Right now I'm tentatively have my date for Aug 8th. I'm getting excited and a little nervous. I've been trying to practice my chewing 22 bites. Only sipping my Water. I've had no caffee for 2 weeks. My husband has been great and has gone to all my meetings with me. I do want to belong to this group for support especially when struggling. My husband has been with me throughout all meetings also. I think it does help to have them on board. We start our 4 week nutrition classes this thursday. He is a diabetic so it can only help him. His sugar numbers have improved so much since we have started our journey. I'm hoping for an Aug date. Can't wait to begin life again and be my old self. Looking forward to be able to move more. After after back surgery 13 years, and 3 knee surgeries. I been trying to lose my weight and keep it off so much of my adult life. Recently again I been going through back injections for pain in my back. My Dr., whom I've been with for about 25years, and I came to this decision. My husband is 8 years older and we do not have children. The thought that I wouldn't be able to do things by myself if something happened to him really made the final decision. Wow. Thanks for all your encouragement. I'm about your former size. It gives me hope. I am 62, but I do like to do things like bike or even just walk which I 'm not able to do right now because of back and knee issues. I'm getting back injections to help with pain for that issues. I do bike everyday with a bike while sitting in a chair 7 days a week. Can't wait to have the oppertunity to return to life again. Thanks again so much for your story. It truly does inspire me.
