    Robe or Jammie's?

I agree a robe would be best. They will most likely keep you in a gown. Good luck!

Sleevers who started over 400 lbs or BMI of over 70

Wow!! That is so great! I'm hoping to have similar success! 190 for 6'5 seems a bit low to me! I'm 5'10 and my goal is 190-200.

That's great! You're doing a really good job! I need to start exercising but I've been in so much pain I haven't been able to walk much I'm hoping it will subside soon!

Sleevers who started over 400 lbs or BMI of over 70

Welcome! I was sleeved April 20, 2015 and couldn't be happier. My high weight was 565. I am now under 350. I am over half way past my personal goal and more than half way to my PCPs goal. I knew that it was going to take time to lose weight so I am thrilled with my progress. I look like a melting snowman and my boobs are pretty floppy, but I'll take it! Thank you! That's amazing! Congrats! Yeah..I'm worried about my boobs haha but I'm planning on having plastic surgery when I meet goal to have skin removal and was thinking of plumping my boobs back up if needed then! :-P

  8. Hey all! I had sleeve surgery done on May 27th and I still have so much discomfort. It hurts if I move a certain way, when I walk, sitting up straight for too long. I am just in general discomfort ALL the time. I would say my pain level is like a 3-5 Has anyone else had this problem 2 weeks out? When does it stop??? I'm so ready to feel okay again Thanks! Alyssa

When does the discomfort stop after surgery?

I hope it stops hurting suddenly for me one morning!

I need help with my scar

I saw my surgeon today and had some of those sticking out. The nurse just snipped them off. She said as the body heals sometimes some of the stitches can come out and it's just part of the healing process. As long as there is not redness or signs of infection around the incision you can most likely just snip them off!

When does the discomfort stop after surgery?

Thanks everyone. I had my 2 week post op visit today and my surgeon put me back on dilaudid (I had run out) and ordered a catscan. They said I should not be hurting this much :-/ I hope it stops soon!
  12. Also, scars fade over time. Most surgeries are done laparoscopically so there a multiple small incisions. They will be the darkest right after surgery but will fade to be faint lines
  13. While I'm newly out from my Sleeve surgery (I had my surgery May 27th) this is not my first weight loss surgery. I am 29 and I got the lap band surgery when I was 22. This is a big decision but if your life is severely impacted by your weight and you have tried and tried to lose weight without results you should keep considering weight loss surgery. I hope your family is like mine was when I started my first journey when I was 21 and sees how much you struggle and understands this will help you immensely. I did not have success with the lap band and had many complications (many people have and it was not as successful overal as they had hoped it would be). I had mine removed in 2012. I started down this journey again a little over 6 months ago and I am very hopeful. This is a huge change though and this surgery is not to be taken lightly because you can severely hurt yourself if you don't follow the directions. If you have any questions about the process and what it's like I'm always open to talk

    Vitamins after Surgery

I'm newly out but I take a chewable Multivitamin from GNC it has a good flavor (strawberry banana). I also take chewable calcium from BariMelts, the flavor is okay (smooth berry). I got the calcium from Amazon. I had tried Bariatric Advantage Cherry chewable calcium and I couldn't even finish the one I started to chew it was so gross (in my opinion!). I hope that helps!

You could get sashimi if that's something you can tolerate or maybe like chicken skewers
