    One month post op

I was 6/21 and I eat total 6-7oz food for whole day plus shakes and Water. I can't imagine 8-12 oz and I have never thrown up. Had some foamy twice after eating too fast. I would be worried about throwing up.
  2. Chapstick Robe Comfy clothes there and you can wear same home Eye/sleeping mask (this was my salvation) Phone charger

    Slimpressions Vs. Spanx Vs. Others

I have not found slimpressions to be a good alternative to spanx. More like a cheap knock off. I don't think they feel as good as spanx, last as long, or provide the same level of "containment." I would never purchase over spanx.

    Purging your clothing

http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/990-clothing-and-goods-exchange/ Thank you but it's not a link to that site. It's an old thread from 2003 Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App Yes, the thread of discussion started some time ago, but you will notice that there are postings from this month and as recent as a couple of days ago. You could start a thread on what you need or are willing to sell. Just a thought.
  6. FMLA does have to do with leave, it just does not provide PAID leave. I don't know your work week hours or what you would be taking out of your "bank" of hours. But I would consider it unusual if you needed more than 2 weeks and if you did that could happen now or next year. Maybe less likely if you lose a lot between now and then, but who knows. I think the comfort of finance should not be overlooked, but you have to balance that with what your work schedule maybe looks like at that time of year vs sooner and how important it is to move up. Good luck, sounds like you are taking all factors into consideration!
  7. @edod wow congrats. Thanks for sharing!
  8. You can get a letter from surgeon if required for your sick leave but that would be highly unusual and I don't think you would have to include details of what surgery. Fmla only comes in if you have no leave available to use. That means you have no vaca or sick but use Fmla to keep job. And do leave without pay. It would be unusual unless you are hourly with no leave available. Be careful with gal bladder excuse because you might have that actually happen. You can have more than one hernia but only one gal bladder emergency!
  9. I would not feel you need to explain your surgery. You will have cardio appt most likely. I am not one to bring my personal in. I did my medical appts because I had doctors appointments. When came time for surgery. I just said I have a minor surgery and will need to be off one week and work from home the next. I was not asked to explain although there was some light prodding. It is not appropriate for employer to pry and if they do ask or find out and treat you any differently that could pose problem for them if you formally complain. But if you work for very small employer your protections could be less and pressure higher to share. I would just say having some stomach issues and Doctor doing a hernia repair and that you will have significant dietary changes for healing and prevention but all will be fine.

    Protein help

Also I got the unjury starter pack to try some flavors. It is a personal think I only like their chicken and unflavored and I am not even trying strawberry because that is not my thing. I have 4 individual packs of 3 flavors. If anyone interested DM me and I can drop in envelope to you! Ps: I tried GENEPRO and their company site and story are just too bizarre but to each their own!

    Protein help

Ooh I tried that in mashed potatoes as well big mistake. I like unflavored in Water (with lime) or broth so far. Trying it in brewed iced tea later this weekend. I also could not stomach some of my shakes post op. It took a week or two to get back to some. PB2 powder helps. I love love love (right now) unjury chicken flavor.
  12. I doubt those are in your plan!
  13. @@mari.beth I cannot imagine moving in midst of this kudos to you! I am post surgery two extra days from you and have been on soft. Frankly with only 2 oz of food to play with you cant do much but have simple Protein and veg every now and then. I did have lobster today, yum loved it. Had it for lunch and dinner. It is very high protein, will try that again. I am still on same amount of shakes so liquids are easier. solid food is a big fill up on small amount.
  14. I licked some of icing off my husband's cupcake
  15. Every program is definitely different! My doc released me to full food at 2 weeks, some programs require liquids for a month post-op. I don't really understand no alcohol for a year, though? Is it for weight loss purposes? Our dietitians are very strict, but they're for guidance in my world, they don't tell me what I can and can't do, only my MD does that. I've been advised by our dietitians to use fake vegetable Protein, to use aspartame, to use only non-fat dairy and on and on. There's also been quite good advice, but I take what makes sense to me and leave the rest. I actually get a lot of advice and support from my case manager, a successful 9-year RnY patient. She's been there, done that on so many situations and is a wealth of info. I cherish her Definitely an area with lacking consistency. My nut does not approve of veg based protein and supports fat and dairy. No alcohol at beginning is mostly because of healing and limited space being needed for protein and Water. After one year, they have cited the growing concern with cirrhosis and liver disease for bariatric patients and increased alcoholism.
  16. Wow! I was told no alcohol for a year, but I really can't imagine trying to drink something like that even though I have had no real nausea or food problems thus far.
  17. My but says my protein liquid consumption counts toward my 64oz otherwise i would be drowning trying to drink all that. On plus side thanks to chicken unjury and high protein premier I am keeping to that goal!
  18. Leaves free nutter butters out in office????? I curse their existence.
  19. I wait like 45 seconds to a Minute between each bite, im only 12 days post op tho so i haven't really ate any real food yet lol. But i can relate tho, i usually cook my food to a high temp to discipline me from eating too fast. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App I am 2 weeks out - what are you eating? I am getting super bored of mushy eggs and stuff.....uhhh, I need ideas! Ha I am 4 weeks out so my diet options are likely more expanded. I cannot drink all day, as I have to do the 30/30 thing. I have yogurt, cottage cheese, some fruit, chicken, ground meat, some cooked veggies --- sounds more exciting when I write it, but 2 oz meals is hard to do more than one item.

    What kind of evil monster...

Exactly, that is what is wrong with America today. Evil peanut sugar temptresses running amok --- don't even get me started on those that promote chocolate AND Peanut Butter. Special level in h3ll for them...
  23. @@APanda911 completely agree and feel everything you wrote!!!
  24. I can have banana now in my soft stage not full liquid. I would have w/peanut butter as breakfast. I try to make at least one of my meals (even thought they are teeny tiny) include a fruit or veggie. Protein is priority but I am hitting 100+ a day now.
