    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

I started protein shakes the day I came home. On Wednesday I get to start pureed foods. I can't wait!

Doing Something for the First Time

Just remember, ISG----it has to be an "itsy bitsy, teeny, weeny, yellow, polka dotted bikini". You've earned it! For me? After my skin surgery, I am going zip lining with my daughters. I still can't believe that they have talked me into thinking that zip lining is my "reward" for my WLS journey. I begin to think there's "shenanigans" afloat! But, I'm looking forward to the adventure of it with my grown daughters. PS: Did I mention that I am terrified of heights? Oh my... I want to go zip lining after I lose more weight!

    Day2

I told nobody except my wife (obviously). I found drinking improved dramatically after the 3rd or 4th day. I'm able to drink a 24oz bottle of propel Water in an hour now without any pain (11 days post op)
  4. I'm cold all the time now. I was hoping that would go away, but it sounds like it doesn't.

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

My hospital stay was OK. I slept about half the time, but kept getting woken up by machines beeping at me. I had moderate gas pain, and found it difficult to drink. I had to initiate getting out of bed and walking around, but was able to a few times. I really didn't have much pain other than gas, so getting out of bed, showering, driving were all fine. I am still brain dead, though. Today was my first day back at work and everything took me twice as long as it should have. sleeping is a problem for me now, though. I slept in a chair for the first 6 days, before moving to the bed. I can't seem to find a comfortable position in bed anymore. I'm sure this will get better, though.

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

Got sleeved June 1st. Feeling great so far.
  7. I'm 8 days today and have been having sleep issues. I'm averaging 5 hours a night where I would normally average 8.
  8. They kept asking me if my legs hurt because that's a sign of blood clots. You should bring that up with the nurse if you haven't already.

    Any June sleevers out there?

Was much better than expected. My only real pain was gas pain. I'm already walking 30 mins a day (my surgeon's goal after one month). Just make sure to drink as much as you are able to in the first couple of days.

I had mine on June 1st. I think things are going well so far.
  12. I'm 5 days post op and was instructed to take milk of magnesia as long as I'm on pain meds. I've had several bathroom visits already.
  13. I'm 3 days post op. Today I've found it easier to drink and have had to hold back drinking more Fluid then recommended. Does anyone know how long liquids stay in my stomach? Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm not on solids yet, but was advised no liquids for 30 mins prior. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App
