Medications and Supplements.... how to keep track? How to carry with you?

I use medisafe (pill reminder) on my phone. -
I've never heard that carbs specifically build muscle. Excess calories, protein and working out builds muscle.

Calling all June '16 sleevers!

I have two protein shakes a day. That combined with greek yogurt for breakfast, and 1/4 cup of chicken for both lunch and dinner gets me over my protein goals by a good amount. In two days I have to cut back on my shakes, though. They want me to only have one a day after I start on soft foods. -

My weight went up after surgery, too. They pump you full of fluids in the hospital. I was 277-278 the day of surgery and was 284 the next day. It comes off quick, so don't be discouraged. -

I'm able to drink almost normal now. 100oz is no problem for me at 25 days outI'm only at day 6 though so I'm still sipping slowly. I do about 2 oz every 15 minutes. Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App Gatorade g2 or propel water were recommended by my surgeon -

I found liquids easier to deal with than pureed foods. I get to progress to soft foods on Wednesday and hope it gets better. -
6 month waiting period for insurance is crazy
gary5862 replied to bac2u's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost everything the doctor wanted me to lose in the 6 month period. You should use this time to learn how you should be eating and working out as much as possible. These will make your transition much easier. I had to have monthly weigh ins. Those helped keep me on track. -

I've got a six pack in there somewhere...just can't see it yet. My surgeon said that my scars were fusing to the tissue behind them, so they would stick when I used my abs. Your recovery sounds a lot like mine. -
The only person I've told is my wife. She is the only one that needs to know. I tell my coworkers what my diet is it they ask how I'm losing weight and they think I'm just crazy.

That's great results! I'm down 23 lbs since June 1. I hit a stall about a week ago and I think I'm just getting over it. -
Hungry feeling all the time!

I'm on a PPI acid reducer. You should ask your surgical team for a prescription if you don't have one. -

Less than before though, right? That's my main concern/complaint right now. Otherwise I'm feeling good. Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App Mine never really bothered me much. My surgeon recommend that I massage them multiple times a day as they dimple when I flex my abs now, so that may contribute to the sensitivity. -

Just take it slow and you'll be fine. Remember to measure your food instead of relying on your stomach to tell you that it is full. -

Are you measuring your food? My meals are no more then a half cup. I'm also only getting around 700 calories a day. -

That sounds terrible. Just remember you're doing this for you, not her.
