    Unsupportive family

I mostly just want to rant... I'm less than 3 weeks post op and my wife has already stopped being supportive. The kids call my meals dog food. Wife has gone through the McDonald's drive through 3 times with me in the car since surgery, she breaks out bags of chips and other Snacks for movie nights, and has little regard for my new diet. She doesn't seem to understand why this would upset me. The kids are pretty young still, so I'll give them a pass. Wife is scheduled for surgery on August 1st, so I would think she would be more supportive...

    Strength Training Apps

I've been using Nike NTC and like it. It isn't specifically what you asked for, but they have a fairly decent coach program and you can specify the types of workout you want to do.

    Protein in Maintenance

My surgeon recommends (your weight) x 0.3 grams of Protein. So a 150lb individual would require 50 grams of protein

I lifted my two year old

The danger is tearing the stitches that hold your abs together. You would definitely feel it if you tore them.

6 month supervised weight loss visits

Mine had to be with the same person for 6 months, but every insurance is different. You are best to call your insurance and find out

    First NSV

My favorite nsv is when someone says to me that my weight loss is inspirational. It has happened 3 times so far and I'm only 6 weeks post.

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

3 week stall. This is normal. Stick to your plan and it'll come back down soon.

    Hard Time Deciding

I chose the sleeve as it seemed to have the least amount of downsides. I originally wanted a lap band, but didn't like the complications associated with it
  9. I went up just after surgery. Don't worry, it'll come off quickly if you follow your plan. Relax and take care of yourself.

Any men doing this besides me.? Lol

My toughest part is the mental thing. I'm addicted to wanting to eat. Expecially late night watching tv.it sucks Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App I broke my night snacking routine by walking on a treadmill while watching TV. An hour of that and I stopped being hungry.

Any men doing this besides me.? Lol

I had no trouble walking after. The whole not lifting anything for a month was hard, though.

Any men doing this besides me.? Lol

I had mine on June 1st. I didn't have to do a liquid diet, but post op was rough for a few weeks. Are you able to have Protein shakes as part of your pre op diet? Those may help.
  13. I had greek yogurt on day 2 (it is part of my plan) and I can drink a protein shake in 5 mins easily at almost 6 weeks out.

    Any June sleevers out there?

I also had my sleeve done on June 6th. I ate corn on the cob today and it came right back up! Something tells me corn is not good for my system going forward... Thoughts? Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App Corn is a starch, and not allowed on my plan until the maintenance phase.

    Not losing weight

Half a pound a day is still really good. That's about what I'm at. Don't get discouraged. If it is really bothering you then only weigh in once a week.
  16. My plan allows for 1/2 banana at 4 weeks. If in doubt, contact your nut.

    Not losing weight

Your goal should be at least 60 grams of Protein at your current weight. Eat 5 times a day. You're doing great with your weight loss so far.

Ugh... why the hell did I do that?

When did you start eating wings?

    Question about Fruit

I'm allowed one small serving of fruit per day on my plan. It is cherry season and I'm loving it.

Yes. Don't sweat it. It'll come back down. Your body is just adjusting to your new eating habits

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

I had no energy from week 2-3. It does get better. How often are you eating and drinking? I eat every two hours and drink in between. Are you drinking protein shakes? Those count as liquids.

    Calling all June '16 sleevers!

I'm doing well except for a huge energy loss in the evenings. I can't get anything done anymore. Hopefully that passes
  25. I had no idea I had sleep apnea before my sleep study. I can't wait to get reevaluated after I lose more weight. I hate it.
