grandpalolo got a reaction from jnt1 in Does anyone's goal weight still leave them "overweight" or "obese"?
The scales they use at the support group gives a lot of info, current weight BMI, age, height, ideal weight and more. I have always been 5'9" but since becoming a senior it appears I am not 2" closer to the ground.
The scales say my ideal weight would be 140lbs. Like most people I don't think that would work for me. I was going to try for 195-200 but have adjusted it to 175. It may change but got to get there first to see how I'll feel.
Thankfully there are support groups like this and they provide great information, advise and encouragement.

grandpalolo got a reaction from reachbree in Checklist for AFTER surgery...
I use bean n bacon, cream of chicken and potato Soups. Use a ninja chopper and mince you food. 1/4 cup of potatoes with Water. Stir and then mix with chopped foods. Last week I made ribs for company. Took 2 small rib and 1 egg-roll, ninja'ed it, mixed with mash potatoes. Nothing said you can have flavor with you food.
Just have to be smart and not go for big portions. Tonight I told my wife we getting Bush'S tender. Going to use ninja and mix with potatoes.
Got can of Tyson chicken. Going to boil 4 eggs and make devil chicken. I crush cracker (4) and mix then have dinner.

grandpalolo got a reaction from krazy kat in Completed surgery 10th May
I went to my first losers bench at Ft Hood. I feel blessed for my progress after hearing what some of the people are suffering through. I'm now in stage 3. Have a ninja so chop my food. Munchie food doesn't mean no taste. Common sense and good support.
Also reading here find quite a few not handing post surgery well. Hopefully it will get better. And yes my ring want to fall off my hand. LOL
