Tacoma/Federal Way St Francis Hospital ANYONE?
I had surgery with Dr. Houseworth on May 23 also! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Deb, can you tell me me about your experience? I'm debating between Dr. Srikanth and Dr. Houseworth. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App He was great. Very kind and knowledgable, but honesty I didn't see him much. I saw him for 2 pre-surgical consults, the day of surgery, and the day of my discharge. My follow up appointments are with mid level physicians. I read up about him and he's done more robotic sleeves than anyone in the state. Overall, very happy with my choice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

1 month Post Op!
It's been one month today... And what a ride it's been! I feel pretty good. No pain, and I can eat most of the foods I'm allowed without discomfort (except ground beef makes my pouch sad) I was cleared for all foods this week My surgeon prescribed a diuretic. She said I was extremely bloated. Since being on them, I've lost the 6 pounds I put on during my stall. But hopefully I won't gain it all back once I stop :/ My stall lasted 3 weeks... And it could still be going, but the Water pill is making the scale move, so only time will tell. I was previously eating 600-700 calories a day, but my surgeon said that was way too low and told to eat 800-1000 calories. That's seems a lot to me. Anyone else eating that much? Gaining weight?
I don't get how this is possible. I'm 5 weeks post op, and I'm eating between 500-700 a day. I'm getting my Protein and Water and all that jazz. I've been at the dreaded "3 week stall" since June 5th and since then I have gained 6 pounds. What is going on???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

TMI about BM's (I like acronyms)
Will that help with my sick feeling? I wonder if I had an easier time going I wouldn't feel so sick... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

TMI about BM's (I like acronyms)
I'm 5 weeks post op and I don't have a BM too often. However, I found when I do, I get SO sick. Chills, stomach cramps, nausea... But it goes away when I'm done. Anyone else experience this? Also in the same vein, can we take a Fiber supplement since I'm not cleared for eating veggies yet? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I know it's not a new topic but...DAMN STALL!
I hope so... Still no loss. I'm trying to up my fluids to help with the sodium intake, but it seems like my body just wants to hang on to everything! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I know it's not a new topic but...DAMN STALL!
Just kinda wanted to vent and see if any other May 23rd sleevers have stalled. In the first 2 weeks, I lost 31 pounds. I'm currently 22 days post op and began my stall at 13 days post op. Haven't lost a pound and have actually "gained" 3 pounds over the course of these 9 days. I know I didn't gain fat, I'm sure it's Water and my body is holding on to everything, I know it's normal, and I know 31...or should I say 28 pounds lost is great, but I just want it to end. Sucks to go through all this trouble with surgery just to stall so soon... Ugh. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Water!
Time after time of over eating, you could stretch your sleeve - at least that's what I was told. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Awesome, thank you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Water!
I can drink much more Water now than I could after surgery. I'm 14 days post op and I can "chug" water. Now, when I say chug, I don't mean drink a whole bottle at once, but I can take multiple gulps at a time where before it was only small sips. Will that stretch my pouch? It doesn't cause any discomfort. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hair Loss :( What to do
Some one told me to try Rogaine for women during this stage until your hair starts to re-grow. I'm worried about the same thing. Super fine hair already... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Maybe I'm doing this wrong...
I guessed should I have worded it differently by eating I mean thinned or Soups or broth. I can't seem to get my shakes, Water, and "food" in. My surgeon put me on a schedule of liquids for one week, puréed foods weeks 2&3, soft foods weeks 4&5 and starting on solids at 6 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Damn protein!
I think you may have saved me. I only need min of 2 tbs a day???!!! Praise baby Jesus! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I Cried Over Pizza Last Night...
Totally did. We were on our way to costco for my Protein powder and my husband says "I think I'll just pick up a pizza for me and the kids for dinner." I started bawling. Costco pizza is my fav. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Maybe I'm doing this wrong...
I'm reading all the posts on here, and most people are eating about 4 oz. I'm 11 days post op and can really only stand about 2 oz. I think the Protein shakes fill me up and don't leave room for food. Suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Damn protein!
I can't seem to get enough Protein in! The shakes are making me nauseous, and I'm not eating nearly enough real food to get it in otherwise. I recently bought unflavored Protein powder and tried making my own smoothie with fruit... But without any sugar added, it's petty ick. What are some good sleeve happy alternatives to sweeten it up without using sugar substitutes? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sleeve
I have weird pain, spasms, contractions, not sure what you call it, in the middle of my chest between my breast bone. It's like a weird painful pressure. Docs thought it was acid reflux and put me on Protonix, but that didn't help. At my last post op, she thinks it might be a nerve or muscular thing from the surgery itself. It's extremely painful but only lasts a few seconds. There's no rhyme or reason, it can happen if I eat, don't eat, sit up, lay down.. But I wish it would stop! 6weeks post how much should my calorie intake be for?
I think I'm one of those people. I'm 11 days post op, and the only calories I'm getting is from my Protein shake, which I only get 1 in, and about 5 oz total of puréed Soup per day. That puts me at about 300 calories. Maybe that's normal for my stage, but I can't imagine eating more.. I feel sick and just too full to eat any more. Getting my Water and shake in is a chore in itself. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
