  1. I think I may be.... Lactose intolerant. Pre VSG, cheese was my favorite food. So if that's true, I'm a sad sad girl. Last night, I had a couple of bites of sugar free pudding. About ten minutes later, I started getting horrible stomach cramps and had to make a (multiple) visit to my porcelain throne. It lasted all night and I still don't feel right this morning. Do you think it's the lactose? I ate puréed broccoli and cheddar Soup all day yesterday with no problem, so I'm confused! Any ideas what happened? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Neeks23, it sat in my gut like a brickx They think it might have caused dumping syndrome. I was sick, weak, nauseas, pain everywhere. It was like the flu x 10. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. You were hungry 6 days post op? I'm 10 days post op and never feel "hungry" sometimes I get hunger pangs from an empty tummy, but I have no desire to eat.. I can only eat about 2 oz of puréed soup - very, thin. I found out the hard way I can't handle anything thick yet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. 10 days post op and trust me, I felt (feel?) the same way. I had a rough go, but today actually feel ok. You gotta keep at it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Thanks guys, actually feeling better today. After days of crying and barely being able to move, I woke up feeling ok. Started a regimen of 2 oz of my Protein shake every hour, at least that way it doesn't feel so daunting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Finally, after dealing with insurance nightmares, I was approved and surgery was scheduled for May 23, 2016. I was so excited! My surgeon didn't require any pre-op diets or requirements so all I had to do was wait. Fast forward to today. It's 3:00am, I can't sleep. I have GERD or esophageal spasms, or somethings going on - no idea what. Back pain and joint pain that make sleeping impossible. I feel weak, dizzy, lightheaded, and my belly itches like crazy! I'm just now able to eat pureed foods, but am scared. I have no idea how much to eat or what I should eat. I have trouble getting all my Water and Protein requirements met and I throw up after taking my Vitamins. The only plus is that I'm already down 23 pounds, and it's only been 8 days. Please, tell me this gets better! Help? Suggestions? Anything? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
