  1. He is being insecure because he assumed you would always be obese, and now that you are shrinking his mental.state of mind is ,other men will look at my wife, like i don't look at her or other men will give my wife the aattwntio. Either way he's seselfi, and needs to embrace you through obese, thick, medium or skinny.

I say this because i have been fat the whole time i was with my husband 200-296,he has never ,ever seen me at 1q74150,175 and i weighed this when i was in high school. Well we are separated now, and guess what , all he does is talk about how lazy i am, how i could of lost the weight at the gym. Blah blah..what do you call that a man who is wanting for his ex to stay fat so she can be miserable so no one will want her, and he goes and lives a happy life

.that wont happen im alread beautiful inside and out and i have a beautiful soul only thing changing is my inches and sugar pound cubes. And i exercise even at 3 weeks after my surgery. He will regret it later, but for now my focus is to loose weight and feel better about myself and the low self esteem and be a part of my past and that should be your focus. You need to sit and talk to him. Or it will only cause problems. As you can see he's being sarcastic and its hurting your feelings.good luck

  2. I'm not bemoaning the stall; I know it's part of the journey. HOWEVER, I would like to know from others at what point they stalled and how long their stalls lasted. And yes, I'm aware that everyone is different, but it's helpful to me to hear about the experiences of others.

3rd week after surgery lost 20pounds and im at a 1 1/2week stall so far

  3. Hello all, I am a Newbie.

Before my surgery i weighed 267 and surgery was May 12 and i currently weigh 247 and for 1 1/2 weeks ,I have not lost anything. I have maintained 247-246.6

Is this normal?, I have read about the stretching of the pouch, and not chewing your food as fast and drinking Water at the same time. And since i have been reading so much about it ,im scared i will stretch my pouch.

Now when i was loosing a pound a day i was not really eating, just like 3 table spoons of Jello and 3 sips of broth if that and water.

I have now incorporated cottage cheese, hummus here and there and what ever i cook like maybe 4 Table spoons of..

Not sure if i need to stick with just Protein for the whole month or what. Im not so quite sure to know when im getting full. I know when i eat and i swallow at time it hurts, i barf sometime water or soy milk if its like 20 mins after i eat.

Im dreading to call the Dr. But i think i should.

Did anyone else have a stand still, i do exercise like run up the bleachers.

Any help will be appreciated, only those that have had the surgery.

  5. I had this same thought for probably two weeks. OMG, what did I just to do myself?! I literally remember being on the phone with my best friend crying that I had destroyed my life..who in their right mind cuts out their stomach?! I was also very sick the first few days after surgery, the anesthesia made me feel terrible for over a week, my arms would fall asleep randomly, I was nauseous, and I was convinced I had just destroyed my life.

I am now three months short of three years from surgery. I have maintained at goal weight for 14 months and I am SO glad that I had the surgery done. I can finally feel like my life is about something other than losing weight. In the end, every bit of misery those first few weeks after surgery is worth it. You might be freaked out now, but a few months from now, maybe a year from now, you will look back on today and think...ha, all those people were right, it was worth it!

On a medical note, ask your nurses if they are using both Zofran and Phenergan and ask them for Transderm-Scop (it's a little sticker that goes behind your ear). The only thing that got me past the nausea was to tell them to stop the IV narcotics. I got exponentially better after that, so if you think that might be the problem, they can give you liquid OTC pain meds instead. I had no need for heavy drugs after surgery and the vast improvement in my nausea only started when they stopped giving me the IV drugs.

By chance did your weight-loss stop after 2 weeks of loosing 20 pounds
