  1. I'm early in the process too. I've met with the surgeon and had my seminar a few weeks ago. The following week I met with my NUT for the first of 3 visits. On Tuesday I have my psych eval. My requires 90 days with NUT will be August 31 then we can submit to insurance and get my endoscopy and X-ray scheduled as well as my surgery. Hoping to have surgery before October 1 as that's when my deductible will reset and I'm close to meeting it now! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. That's completely normal. I've had numerous surgeries including 2 major back surgeries and I would always freak out right before. Just know that you are in good hands and everything is going to be okay. Try some distraction techniques when those thoughts pop into your head. Sending positive vibes your way!! 6. I would guess as long as it didn't say "no net gain" you should be fine. Like @@RNY KAT says...appeal it if it's denied. Keep us posted! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. I went on my insurance company's website and noticed that the lab work I had done the day of my initial visit with surgeon was denied. I also noticed that the actual visit with him has not been submitted...it was on 5/31. Could it be that they are waiting until I have authorization to submit for the office visit? All of this insurance stuff confuses me!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. In haven't had surgery yet so I can't speak from experience but after reading these boards I can tell you NOT to buy anything in excess before surgery. A lot of folks say that their tastebuds changed and things they liked before surgery they no longer like afterwards. Do a search for bone broth. A lot of people swear by making your own and there are recipes on here for it. I've also read to take an extra pillow to the hospital for the ride home...to brace yourself when going over bumps etc. Hope this helps some! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Hi @@Madea61 When are you or did you have your surgery? I haven't had surgery yet but would be more than happy to be your friend!! I'm sorry that you're feeling alone and depressed. I battle with depression too and am slightly worried about how I'll handle things after surgery. Hang in there girl!! I'll text you later today! ~hugs~ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
