BIGGEST NSV yet!
highfunctioningfatman replied to highfunctioningfatman's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I sent something similar to my boss who had this surgery a year before me. She told me that I still don't have a butt. I told her that for Halloween I'd send her a picture of me in just a cowboy hat and assless chaps. She immediately responded with HELL NO!!!. I laughed back that either way she has that image of me in her head (as you probably have now). Ain't I a stinker? -

Sex after two weeks
highfunctioningfatman replied to tess170's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Exactly! The doc said whenever I felt up to it. I was asked to take it easy at first because we explained that we are quite sexual and adventurous. Nine days was fine for us to resume like our usual selves. -
I forgot about the scales. One of my employees is Jewish and he jokes that he is "the worst Jewish ever" because he loves pork. For some reason everything has clicked this week and I've dropped 7 pounds in the last 6 days.

I'm at 6 weeks and I love spice as well but I do it in much smaller amounts. I did wasabi and soy sauce at 15 days. I'm back to eating my Arizona Gunslinger Habanero sauce and Chinese chili paste.

Let's see if I recall enough about kosher eating. meats and dairy are supposed to be separated from other and pigs have cloved feet but they don't chew cud. Nope not kosher! Bariatric kosher though, as I recall it is Protein first so... Beef, yep. Shrimp, yep. Bacon, yep. Cream cheese, yep. Rosemary, nope. Lime juice, nope. The yeppers have it for the bariatric kosher win!

Sex after two weeks
highfunctioningfatman replied to tess170's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't wait! My sweetie and I played around starting day 2. Slow and easy was day 5. Day 9 was like teenagers in the back of a mustang but without the mustang. -
I am definitely a lucky man! I couldn't have a more wonderful wife! Not quite sure how I hooked her but I'm so glad that she didn't spit the hook.

Admitting your biggest weight loss fail ever!
highfunctioningfatman replied to magicianbeautician74's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
HCG, Adkins, Ephedrine, hypnosis (don't eat the white foods, no kidding dumbass!) but my favorite was a self inflicted 425 calorie pizza diet. I found mini pizzas that were 425 calories and I ate one per day for 3 months. I felt horrible but I did lose weight. -

Any other picky eaters out there?
highfunctioningfatman replied to Who'sThere's topic in Food and Nutrition
I'm picky now, low carb, no breads, sugars, pastas or rice. I love anything that swims but obviously that is out for you. I also love anything smoked. The crab that I had at work had gone bad so I hit up a local bbq joint and was pleasantly surprised to find that the sell there meat by the pound as well. I got 1/2 a pound of smoked brisket and 1/2 a pound of pulled pork. One super nice thing is that they don't sauce the meats until after so it is sugar loaded. I paid a whopping $11. I asked my sweetie to make chicken cordon bleu with pulverized wasa crackers as breading. She also used baby portobello shrooms Greek yogurt and milk as the basis of a sauce that was dang similar to cream of mushroom. -
Try Aliexpress.com. I usually have good luck with them. Shipping does take a while, though. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App A lot of great stuff there but all of their sizes are a bit small.

Fart Pads for Smelly Gas - Would you use them?
highfunctioningfatman replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm a bit different so my opinion isn't necessarily high brow. If it is noise then everyone is going to know that it is you anyway. If it is quiet then you are innocent until proven guilty. It has been my experience with wls to never trust a fart. They sneak up out of nowhere and sometimes they fool the magical muscles of the rectum into thinking that it is just a regular fart but then... You know, those fart pads could be used as poopie pads. Either way, never trust a fart! -
We did a version of the ricotta bake tonight. I'm not a big fan of marinara so instead we used classical light Alfredo sauce. We also added imitation crab and portobello mushrooms. Pretty darn good stuff!

Ricotta bake remake
highfunctioningfatman replied to highfunctioningfatman's topic in Food and Nutrition
When we do it, it is for three people so we do a double batch. We use a 10" round casserole dish. -
Where I come from.... Those kind of footwear are referred to as *uck me heels.... Size 3?????? No. Surely hard to find. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Seriously- Try the Asian community shopping area nearest you.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Screw me heels? Yeppers! The Chinese restaurant that we go to yells at my wife every time that we are there because Jeanna didn't have to work for her feet. I never would've guessed that in this day and age that Chinese women still bind their feet.

Good for you to want to go back to work! My sweetie is at that same stage. I've listed her as "hot housewife" on our taxes for the past 8 years. She has been looking hard since about June and it can be really tough. Best of luck to you!

I keep looking for a sexy strapy pair of heels for my sweetie but in our 8 years of marriage I haven't been able to find that. I'm guessing that is because they don't make sexy strapy heels in size 3 girls...

calories be damned?
highfunctioningfatman replied to beyondgrief's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just my experience here. I'm constantly changing my diet with different foods and fluids. I feel like my body doesn't know what to expect and I've had good success so far. -
Made a blunder!
highfunctioningfatman replied to Raynbolite's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My worst so far is when I had bear sausage. Three small delicious bites slammed me HARD! It literally hurt to breathe for 45 minutes. I couldn't move from my seat. -
They say to quit smoking, but what about legal marijuana?
highfunctioningfatman replied to LittleLizzieLilliput's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in a legal weed state as well. Why are you using Marijuana? -
Help! I'm so scared I've spent all this money for nothing
highfunctioningfatman replied to gustavio's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A little perspective here. In 6 weeks you have lost 29 pounds according to your stats on the left. You started at 247. You have lost 11% of your body weight and 28% of your weight to goal. In 6 weeks! Please explain why your upset? -
Has anyone tried simply fit board?
highfunctioningfatman replied to ocgirl15's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Sure have. My wife got it and she is a klutz with very little balance. For her is was difficult at best and humorous for me to.watch. She was a bit upset when I was able to do it. I can't do it for long as I'm 5 weeks post op and it is tough on the still healing incisions. -
Spices in food
highfunctioningfatman replied to shrusara's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
On soft foods I had ahi tuna with wasabi and soy sauce. Your experience may be different from mine so take it easy. I'm a little over 5 weeks post op and I'm comfortable with any spices including a habanero sauce. I just add enough for flavor and don't bathe my food in it. -
I asked my beautiful wife to make me chicken cordon bleu for dinner tonight and boy did she come through! I had an idea to use pulverized wasa crackers as breading and Greek yogurt and shrooms as the basis of a sauce. Damn good stuff!
