  1. I struggle daily. The best thing for me was a 30 oz stainless steel cup with a lid at Wally World for about $10. It keeps my drink cold and it really is a lifesaver for me.

    Sushi/Sashimi thoughts?

A lot of us do sashimi but skip the sushi because of the carbs in the rice.

Proposal - Over One Year Out Forum?

There is a section for weight loss vets. I believe that you have to be 18 months from your surgery date to post there but you can view it.

    Eating Chronicles

It gets better. Have you tried different types of food to see if they react differently?

    Getting rid of clothes?

I'm 11 weeks out on Monday. I went from 3xl snug - 4xl loose and 38 pants to 2xl perfect and 34 pants. I could easily go to 32 pants right now. I've been donating anything good to Goodwill and everything else will get burned in my front yard on New Years Eve! I plan to wrap up our Christmas tree with my old clothes, crank up "I feel pretty", douse the clothes in gasoline, throw matches at it and disturb the piss out of my neighborhood!

Does it ever feel normal again.

Yeppers! You still have to take it slow but the pain will go away.

    Carbs..

20-40 grams per day if I'm on the high side it is because of yogurt.
  12. Are you taking measurements? When I'm losing I'm not dropping inches. When I'm stalled the inches are dropping. I've been doing arm and ab exercises a lot this week and my biceps and waist are up slightly from last week but I lost almost 4 inches total everywhere else. My weight loss was sudden today, I was down 3 pounds out of nowhere. I triple checked it to confirm.

    Still can't wear jeans.

I know that you don't want to hear this. I could've been in my jeans on day 1. My point is that everyone is different.

    Screw "embrace the stall"

  15. I "only" lost 3 pounds this week so I knew that I should have a decent inches week. I've been doing ab and arm exercises. My arm and waist measurements are both up a little (and slightly sore) but I lost 3.75 inches! Also blood pressure issues are definitely a thing of the past, this morning I was 110/87 with a heart rate of 78. I've intentionally increased my calories to get me over 800 calories and making sure to hit my 64 oz fluid goal. Yesterday was my best fluid day yet at 114 oz!

My sweetie is doing very well. She was legally blind in her left eye and only had her central vision in her right. She has some permanent loss of her peripheral vision on the left side of her left eye. The tumor caused massive hormone issues that are still troubling her to a minor extent. She still has a bit of a depth perception problem. Coming from where she was in April is nothing short of a miracle.

Describe your meals and exercise please

Exercise is working with 5 pound dumbbells, those spring grip thingies and rotating these ab exercises. http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/best-abs-exercises-ever

Describe your meals and exercise please

Breakfast was 2 eggs with peppercrack cheese and green enchilada sauce. Lunch was 4 oz of shrimp with lemon juice and old bay seasoning and a slice of havarti cheese. Essentially a shrimp melt without the bread. I had 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 1 tbsp so sugar free strawberry jam around 4. Dinner was an odd mix of pulled pork with homemade refried beans that had Greek yogurt as sour cream. I also had 90 oz of Powerade Zero mixed 50/50 with water and 24 oz of propel water.

    Hitting a plateau

I have 2 shirts that have been hanging in my closet since 03-04 that I've never wore. Both are listed as 2xl and one was tight at the time and the other was no way José. I keep trying the one that was tight before. I'm enjoying the once a week trial and error of the fit. I don't even wear that style of shirt any longer but I will wear both of them because I said that I would.

    Losing yourself literally

I understand what you are saying. I view hard lines as being more towards the manly side. If you are concerned you can always do plastic surgery to soften those lines.

How did WLS effect your marriage...

I wonder if a person's tastes change in what the like in a partner. A simple example, I've always preferred a woman who has a bit of weight to her because I think that women should have gentle, soft curves. I've never found an "athletic build" attractive. Part of that may be that I've always been big so I've rarely associated with "athletic" people. My perspective may be based on my reality. No offense @@bayougirlmrsc but in your waitress days I probably would have never given you a second look because your build wouldn't have been attractive to me. I wonder if marriage issues are somewhat linked to this.
