  1. Definitely head hunger. It sucks but you have to push through. I had to just remove myself from the room. Or just not look. It gets better. Once you start eating real food or close to it it'll ease up a lot.
  2. Fluid won't stretch your sleeve. Drink up![emoji4]
  3. That's so exciting. And scary. Im so happy for you though! You totally deserve it. One way to think about it is the amount of skin being removed will take pounds off for your goal. So say you do lose the 50lbs (which i can totally see happening) before your surgery. They are still taking off pounds of skin. So if you have 105lbs to lose and lose another 50 and still have 15 to 20 or more lbs of skin to remove that's some of the work right there. Then you'll have less than half of that 105lb remainder left to lose. I hope that made sense. Just take it a week at a time and before you know it you'll be going in for your new flatter tummy![emoji3][emoji1][emoji6]
  4. Im so sorry to hear about your complications. I hope you are doing better and that things are going more smoothly for you! I decided to wait until i am either close or at goal too. I suffer with a lot of pain that makes it hard to walk so I'm going to see if the last 50lbs will help yield more pain free results lol.
  5. I was sleeved in October too and also going through phases of poor food choices. Im starting a pouch reset today for the rest of the week to get my mind right. I can't mess this up after all the work i put in to get it.
  6. Been starting to get questions. My keyfood is right down the block from me and most of the people that work there i have grown up knowing. I've always been big so now being the smallest I've ever been, im starting to get questions from the people that work there lol. I've been going with the healthy diet thing. It's so weird and keeps throwing me off when someone asks because i don't really notice much of a difference. I still feel like I'm over 260lbs so it still surprises me when even wearing a thick winter coat people notice. Im going to have to get used to it because spring and summer are coming and im still 50lbs from goal. This is going to be rough, I'm not big on a lot of attention.
  7. Wow! Congrats on the loss! That's incredible! You look amazing! Did you work out?
  8. I'd say it would depend on where you feel is good for you. If you're like me and have never been of a normal bmi for your age or height then it can be scary, weird and confusing to know when its enough. Especially if you've never maintained weight-loss for any amount of time (me). I wish i could help you. Im still in the losing phase and a little rattled about the next 50 or so lbs. I guess you just gotta fiddle around and see what works for you. But if you continue eating like you did in the losing phase that may be why you're still losing? If you want to gain or maintain, more calories may be in order. And if you are working out strenuously maybe try to level it out to a few times a week and see if that helps? I'm no good that keeping weight off so i hope i made some sense. It's late lol.
  9. where do i even buy these things from? I need to shop around. The only thing i buy is soy milk and protein powder, Im so boring lol

  13. Oh PS, The thicker the shake is the harder a time i have. Even 5.5 months out. Even now i will cut my soy milk with water to thin it out and make it more manageable. Smaller sips and thinner shakes might help.
  14. Are you mixing lactose free milk in with it? My nutritionist suggested skim or fairlife milk but im too lactose intolerant. Even using soy milk im still slightly affected because of the whey protein in my powder but not nearly as bad as using full dairy. I can still have 2 shakes a day. My soy milk was frozen so i used the regular milk we had and cut it with water. My stomach was trashed for 2 days. And i only had about 8oz of milk. I was always lactose intolerant but i think its worse now. I would love to be able to eat yogurt again, Greek yogurt was my fave and i just discovered the Oikos 000 and they are so good. But they Wreaked absolute HAVOC on my tummy. So dairy is VERY limited for me.
  15. Congrats! It's an awesome feeling!
  16. CW: 183 GW: 180 Today's date: 3/17/17 So close!
  17. Anyone else making bad choices? Or forgetting to eat for hours? I've been really struggling getting everything i need in. Water, protein, vitamins. To a sane post op patient it may look like I'm trying to kill myself. But i do eat it just hasn't been the best choices. Not gonna lie had a candy problem this week. Been addicted to gummy candies for the past week or 2. Good news is im pretty burnt out on junk. This only happens around shark week but i don't need it happening at all. Anyone else having this trouble? I forget i had this surgery until i eat something and instantly remember the choice i made wasnt wise. Good news, im still losing. But i probably could be losing more. I don't know. Im just really in a bad mental space right now.
  18. Cw: 185.4 Gw: 180 Date: 3/10 Hope i can beat this carb monster going on right now. Shark week is almost over so i should be down a couple lbs by the end of the week. I hope i can get to this goal by the time the challenge ends. When does it end again? Lol
  19. I've been wondering this about someone i used to work with. She's lost a ton of weight and looks amazing. I wanted to ask her if she had surgery. She told me in the past she was going through the process but her family talked her out of it at the last minute. I feel like she might have done it but don't want to assume or ask. It sucks because i really would like to talk to someone i know personally who has had it but dont know many people who have and would like to be support buddies.
  20. Its hard and i knew it would be but trying to grasp something you just know nothing about is really hard. I haven't eaten today. I had most of a shake but i kept forgetting to drink it (i babysit 5 kids and eating just isn't high on my list of priorities at times) and even THAT was kind of hard going down. But i have hope that we will overcome this and one day probably wish for these days back lol.
  21. I have been having some difficulty. I just made 5 months a few days ago. I eat meat but i think I've just been denying how hard its been which is why I just haven't been eating or eating the worst choices when i do. But if im being honest with myself, most things are uncomfortable going down. And most meals i do manage now come up more times than not lately. I haven't consulted my surgeon because i feel like it's me overeating and eating too fast. I think i get too hungry and im not judging well. So i need to work harder on...well everything. Have you tried going back to puree or soft phase? I always have to do liquids and soft foods if I've gone too long without eating. Everything is really hard to go down and it just feels tight and after 2 or 3 small bites i feel like I'm going to explode and it will sometimes come back up. I haven't been stressing it too much but not getting my daily....anything is starting to worry me.
  22. I was looking for those signs but it seems mine is burping. Which has been pretty handy to know. I will usually burp throughout my meal but get to a point where the burps feel more "full" i guess. Almost like with another bite the food will come up. I try to stop 1 to 2 bites before that happens
  23. Daaaaaaamn girl! You crushin it! I think i have 10lbs on you and i can tell you i won't look half as good when i get there lol. Keep up the awesome work!
  24. I've been struggling a lot lately too and i just made 5 months. I've been eating candy and more carbs. Not eating all day and not taking my Vitamins. Eating is not always comfortable so i don't like doing it. Then i eat crap when I'm around it. I started over today. I know "Martha" is about to rear her ugly head so i know that's a big reason for my lack of will power but i don't like it. I need to get a handle on it before it gets out of control. Im still 30 to 40lbs or more from goal. I still have a lot of work to do. It's really messing up my head that i still feel like I'm 260lbs. I still feel big as hell and i feel like I'm annoying my boyfriend because he keeps telling me im small but i keep thinking "not yet". That's what goes through my head whenever anyone says something about how much I've lost or how "small" they say I've gotten. I still just ugh. Can't get with it. Give me 20lbs and i might agree. But i need a lot of help getting over this sugar addiction I've been experiencing lately. Im not a huge candy person usually. Im a savory person. I looooovee FOOD. And its also kind of scaring me because i feel like I'm sabotaging myself. I think I'm scared of being "thin". I wore my first 12s as an adult yesterday and i felt like a fraud. Like someone was going to say "hey fatty! Why are you lying? You know those are too tight!" I don't know why i just couldn't shake this weird feeling like i was still a size 20 posing as an 18. But i also can't imagine losing another 54lbs but im gonna make it happen. Ultimate goal is 132lbs, Normal bmi. Everyone says it sounds too small but im 5'2. We'll see[emoji4]
