  7. I am not sure if this will come out right, so here it goes. I am wondering about the honeymoon period I see people referring to as related to the sleeve. If your stomach ( with the sleeve) doesn't stretch over time- why is there a honeymoon period where you tend to lose the bulk of your weight ... or is that not true ? I recently read a thread about a Dr who told a patient not to eat bread, rice, Pasta, etc during this weight loss time/ honeymoon period and I was wondering why just this time ? Why not restrict these foods longer ... does this question make sense ? Sent from my SM-T530NU using the BariatricPal App
  8. Hi kbuck3779 .... How are things ? I'm not sure what phase 3 soft foods are ... But any real food is better than liquids, right ? You going to the gym or staying active ? I'm going to my first zoomba ( sp?) class today - trying different exercises each week Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. Hi Audrey and LowBMI.... I understand totally .... There are sometimes where my sleeve tells me I am done and other not so much. I was sleeved June 1st and have lost 35 since surgery ... Faster than some bust slower than others I find going to the gym is the only thing that is helping me. I do plan and count everything in my fitness pal ... Also - no food in the house " that i want ". I don't have any control over crackers , chips and sweets ... I have asked that they respect it for a few months ... But since I shop- it works Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Definitely less overall - no eating out or soda. The whole family is eating better - but supplements and Protein do add up --- happy overall !!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  19. I have a similar weight loss and stall like you ... I started back up to gym or walking at night and I am starting to see scale move downward again ( yay ) For your husband - I know how he feels actually - I was pretty prepared for surgery except that I had a notion the weight would melt off - so I read more and realized I was wrong / so I changed my thoughts and adapted Give him a break and realize he is not aware of the process and needs information to reset his assumptions Two more pieces of advice that is sometimes shared .... Measure yourself - sometimes you are not losing weight but you are losing inches ! Track your food- even if you snack ( which you want to try and break that habit ) - track it! I'm not a vet, but I wanted to let you know I understand Good luck ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I have seen a lot of good recipes with cucumber ( when you are cleared ) .... Isn't it funny though : before surgery, I'm sure " cheating" wouldn't have been croutons ;Post surgery .... Well - it is a whole new world Good luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. My husband stopped by once a day, but that is all I wanted - I just wanted to sleep, walk and sip ..... going home and having someone around if I needed them was helpful - in NJ , had to have someone pick up/ escort home Sent from my SM-T530NU using the BariatricPal App
  22. I would say 4-6 days it lessened - but I never had major pain - I didn't take any pain medicine once released from the hospital after day 3. 10 days I could lay on my side .... Major pain - maybe do a quick call to your surgeon just to check and make sure they check out what you are feeling Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Are your shakes approx 100 calories? Does that mean your dinner is approx 800 calories? Maybe that is too much at the end of the day ; I have the sleeve and not the band - so maybe some differences ..... just wondering -are you tracking using an app like MFP or estimating Sent from my SM-T530NU using the BariatricPal App

I did lose 15 lbs on my dr ordered pre- op diet and I started walking to try to kick start some weight loss I know it is hard ... Best of luck and keep trying Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
