I agree, I wouldn't advise it. You just had major surgery with re routing of your intestines etc. I would call the surgeons office and get their opinion.

I really don't advise skipping to a regular diet. Keep to the plan your Doctor and/or NUT gave you. Your incisions are trying to heal. In my opinion it is too soon for chicken.

Miralax for me! I buy the costco brand. Much cheaper and the exact same thing. I mix in my Protein shake each morning until I 'go' then every other day. It's not a laxative.

Gas-X strips in addition to walking really helped me.

@Mudgy6. I am very happy even though I still have a hard time with mirrors. Unfortunately I am unable to do much exercise due to 'bad' feet and I am super self conscious of swimming.

I am currently about 4 1/2 months out. At 4 months I noticed more hair coming out in the shower and in my brush. I don't notice it when I look in the mirror. I started taking Biotin a few months before my RNY which was in February. I have since lost 101 lbs! I still take my Biotin and Bariatric Vitamins everyday of course! I hope this answer helps you and congratulations on the beginning of your journey!

I also had gastric bypass in February. I also have had 1-2 dumping experiences and it has really made me examine everything I eat. The episodes weren't awful just really uncomfortable to me. The surgeon recommended that I go with the bypass due to the amount of weight I have to lose, and I am happy that I did because in 4 and 1/2 months I have lost 101 lbs!

I had my RNY done February 11th 2016 and as of today I have lost 101 lbs! I was just as nervous as you even up to the morning of the surgery. Having a wonderful support person helps. Good luck to you all!

That is probably the incision they removed the stomach from. Day 5 is still quite painful. Your incision looks the way mine did. There were times I thought I my incisions opened because I was in so much pain. Keep up with your pain medicine and take it easy! Always call the Dr. Office just in case.

Please call your doctors office in the morning. At 2 weeks for me everything made me nauseous as well and the Dr. prescribed Zofran for me. Dehydration will earn you another trip to the hospital. I wish you well. It will get better!
