  4. Hi all! I read a very inspiring post this morning about haters. So I decided to share. I'm going through a nasty divorce because my husband just refuses to treat me right. You name it he's done it or said it. I've been fighting tears for 3 days now with the latest news of his cheating. Then he had the nerve to blame me for his behavior..... Well God made me smile today. I had my first physical with my regular doctor today. He was soooo impressed with my 70lbs loss. It made my day! It's the little things! God really won't let me be sad or spiteful! Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  5. My soon to be ex husband is now doing the same thing to me. He brought fried chicken in the bedroom the day after I came home from surgery. Mind you that was a first. It hurts so bad. I've been fighting tears for 3 days now because I found out he was cheating yet again with this female who use to call me all kinds of fat this and that; which he found funny. The sad part is he talked about her with the other women he is also cheating with. I just prayed and said God heal my heart! I'm down 70lbs the last thing I need is another health issue because my husband is sleeping around. Life is too short! We deserve God's best! Your like me you were beautiful before and you're beautiful now just healthier! Stay encouraged! Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  6. I took 2 weeks off. I have a desk job so that made a big difference. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm slowly losing it too. My starting weight was 298 I'm a little under 5'9. I had surgery the end of April. I've only loss 67 lbs so far. The way I see it is my body needs more time then others to adjust and heal. Plus the slower you lose it the less loose skin you'll have. Be patient and keep making healthy choices. It will pay off over time. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  8. I only told my husband and best friend too. I'm in the slow loss club which is fine by me. So I didn't have the drastic changes. Also if I go out to eat or there's food at my job or church I just say I'm watching what I eat. It is very personal and you don't need the options of others to be a road block. 9. My Bariatric team's rules say no baby food. "It's made for babies that need to grow, not adults who need to loose." These words exactly were in my handbook. So no, I never ate it during the puree phase.I was told the same thing. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  10. I didn't take much. I took my headscarf, a travel size hair spray, something to read, my phone and charger. All of it fit in my purse. Since my surgery was early in the morning. I wear the same outfit/ dress home because I only had it on for 30 minutes before I got to the hospital. Dress comfortably and pamper yourself and skin before going to the hospital. 11. Take Journey Bariatric Multi Vitamins chewables. I had to try a few before I found one I could stomach. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  12. For some reason I've really been struggling this past few weeks with my eating habits. I think I'm hungry all the time but I feel full. I'm not sure if it's the excusing because I have been doing a lot of weight training or just my mind. I've been trying to drink more Water when I have these moments. Maybe I need to go back to having 2 Protein shakes a day. I'm almost 2 months out is this normal? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  13. I have the same fears different insurance though. From the information I got after researching a few insurance companies because I was willing to change insurance. They only cover skin removal if it's medically necessary. Like if you get an infection or something. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  14. Has some on here told me you will have stalls. Your body is still healing and adjusting so it's a bit of a shock to your system. Just keep working at it and stay positive. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  15. Your doing fine. I'm 6 weeks out and can bearly finish 4 oz of food. Most times I'm eating about 2 oz. With liquids I can get in 8 oz over the course of an hour. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  16. Much better still at a stall but I guess that's normal. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  17. I just started last week so I'm sure that will help. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  18. Apparently there's a dreaded third week stall that happens to a lot of folks. You'll start to lose again soon, just stick to the plan Also I heard that many don't lose a ton of weight the first month because their body is still in shock/ healing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Good to know thanks! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  19. I'm not sure why they didn't give you a meal plan. Try contacting the doctor again. On line are some get resources for each stage. You should be on pureed or soft foods at this point. Check with your doctor or another bariatric clinic in your area to see if you can get a better idea of what stage you at because each doctor is different. 20. That's true! Because I definitely don't want this journey to be in vain! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

  24. That could have something to do with because today I had no appetite until around 4pm. I was just thirsty so I drunk lots of water. When I did get hungry I wanted Cookies and sweets. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  25. I'm on the soft foods stage. I'm about 5 weeks out and all I want is Cookies or candy. I've been doing the sugar free hard candy but I'm wondering what else to do because I don't want to regress once I can eat more things. I also have about 1/4 cup of fruit a day which helps sometimes.
