Best Tasting Protein Shake
charley27 replied to charley27's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to have a Protein shake that is less than 5g fat, less than 10g carbs and at least 15g protein. I want to be able to try them before I buy a case at Sam's club or costco. Where can I buy these? I have a GNC and Vitamin shoppe by me. No time to order online for the beginning stuff bc surgery is in 5 days Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I was told that I'll have to give myself blood thinner shots for a kit two weeks after surgery. Does anyone k kW why I have to do shots instead of pills? I was told I'm allowed to take my usual meds (add and anxiety) after, why can't I take my xarelto or any other blood goner pills?? I'm freaking out about giving myself shots Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How are you all documenting your progress? I have one YouTube channel for makeup, beauty and planning, and made a second one for the VSG journey. I'm not sure if I want to use it or not. Also thinking of blogging. I have a line a day journal where you write a line a day of what your day was like so I could use that, but with videos you can see the changes, with blogging or journaling, you can write your thoughts and feelings. If I decide to make YouTube videos, I will probably just make the videos and wait to upload them until I'm at a better weight. What are you all doing? My surgery is June 27. So I went to get my preop blood work and EKG done today. Thy also told me I need an ABG (arterial blood gas) test. I freaked out at the unknown, naturally. It was the most painful experience I've ever had. The tech was supposed to draw blood from the artery in my wrist. Not the blue ones you can see, but they had to go digging. DIGGING. I passed out when she got deeper in my wrist looking for the vein. She never actually found it after trying and digging for a solid 10 minutes. She said that she wasn't able to get anything so she will tell the doctor. She said sometimes they don't need it, but if they do, they'll have to do it when I'm in the hospital for surgery. End rant.
