  1. Hah! Love this! I figure my husband has loved me full and fluffy at almost 300lbs (and various other weights in between) I am guessing a little loose skin won't send him away. Thanks for the post. Needed to hear it today! And 1000 times this!!!
  2. My goodness! Glad you caught it! Hope you heal quickly and feel better soon!
  3. Call your Doctor and Insurance Company.
  4. @@jilani - I'm having my surgery on 9/6 also. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I bought some of the unflavored unjury to add to applesauce and maybe broths. when I opened it I recoiled at the smell - I haven't mixed it in with anything yet. Not sure if I want to now that I have smelled it. (I am only on day 1 of liquids)
  6. I think if anyone has the audacity - I am going to say "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion" and leave it at that. In fact, This is my new mantra!!!
  7. Someone asked about having a good comeback ready when someone tells you you're taking the easy way out - and I'm wondering, does this happen often? I am just not the type of person that makes comments about Other people's health choices - it's hard for me to wrap my head around. (Only a choice few people know that I'm having Bariatric surgery. I'm guessing my co- workers will put 2+2 together when I'm out for two weeks and then start losing weight) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I like the bullet - but ours started leaking after a while. I do intend to use it for the purée stage though. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Life insurance is an issue for me too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I really like this one!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I have heard this from someone else - Imodium AD was suggested.
  12. I am super glad to hear this. A friend of mine (who had reflux before surgery) also had a hernia repaired and her reflux improved too. I hope this is the case for me. My doc told us that it gets worse for 30% of patients, and asked me to consider bypass. I told him I would take those odds - I hope I don't regret it.
  13. A good friend of mine was sleeved in April at Emory Bariatrics. Dr. Hart? How's it going for you?
  14. Northeast GA here - to be sleeved on 9/6/16.
  15. You look really good! Congrats!
  16. @@Patchakc you are not alone ! I start two weeks of pre-op liquids Monday (& I have to do two weeks post op also) Hang in there! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. @@ojibway Thanks - good luck with the rest of your liquids & your surgery! @@Dub - Good advice, thanks!
  18. @@OutsideMatchInside is there an unflavored protein that you would recommend?
  19. thank you both @@OutsideMatchInside and @@trekker954 and 18 pounds? wow!!!
  20. I'm starting two weeks of liquids on Monday......any survival tips for me?
  21. Congrats on approaching the finish/starting line! Good Luck!
  22. This is one of my biggest fears! I am glad to know that Nexium may be an option. Question for both of you, @ and @justthere4theshow - did either of you have reflux before the sleeve? Or a hernia? I have occasional heartburn now, but I have a hiatal hernia that the doc is fixing at the same time as my sleeve.
  23. Congrats on your approval! I don't have any tips to share - I am still pre-op. Super jealous that you are not required to do a pre-op liquid diet, mine starts Monday.
