  1. You look awesome! And our brains are very powerful! Do what you're doing - take pictures and that way you can compare your body. I was sleeved on 5/10 and I have found that my mind hasn't caught up to my body. I've lost 65 lbs but sometimes I still see the same person in the mirror. I have 45 more pounds to go but I would imagine it stays challenging.

  2. We do Home Chef and LOVE it! We are a family of three and I'm the only one sleeved. We purchased the 3 meals a week for 2 and it's been fantastic. You can opt for high protein/low carb selections. Love the variety and not eating the same thing over and over. My 16 year old daughter has learned how to cook with this plan. Can't say enough great things about it!

  3. @@OutsideMatchInside thank you for that! I weigh everything too! Sometimes I can eat my 5oz light & fit yogurt like its nothing, other days I struggle to eat 2oz. Glad my struggle is not an abnormal one. Lol thank you!

    @@VSGAnn2014 thank you!

I so needed to see this today! Just finished a 5 oz light Greek yogurt and the thought immediately in my head was - shouldn't that have been more difficult??! I was sleeved two weeks ago (5/10). I'm very focused on getting my Water and Protein in! Tomorrow I move to a phase 3 diet: puréed foods.

  4. I was sleeved on 5/10.

I had terrible gas pains for the first 4 days. I was living on Gas X strips and they really helped me. I walked, walked and walked. The day I was home from the hospital (5/11) I was walking for 30 minutes and I'm already now up to an hour. I know it's helping with my healing. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting.

    2. I didn't have any issues with constipation!! Thank goodness. Drink your fluids and follow the meal plan.

    3. My surgeon says 4-6 weeks. That's a LONG time. Not sure we will make it. I wouldn't see an issue with oral. Just finding a comfortable position and not getting overzealous.

    4. Agree with others - your taste changes. I cannot stand the smell of broth anymore.

    5. Didn't have one. But the best thing they gave me was a binder. It wraps around your abdomen and a week later I'm still wearing it. Helps me feel supported. My surgeon told me today I don't have to wear it but I love it! It's my wubbie.

    6. Relax. Listen to your body. As soon as they get you up in the hospital - walk it out. Stay on top of pain management. The first few days are the worst but it's all uphill from there!!l

    Good luck!!
