  6. In case you might want to know: Those aren't sugar free Popsicles.....no sugar added is very different than sugar free. Sugar free Popsicles have no carbs. The ones you show in the photo are made with fruit and fruit juice, so they have all the naturally occurring sugars and carbs; they just don't have any ADDITIONAL regular sugar added. 10. I am on day 1 of my pre-op diet, and I was wondering if there's a danger of getting too much Protein? My Protein shakes have 30g, and if I drink 4 then I am already at 120. That does not include any I might get from bone broth, or sugar free pudding made with milk, etc. Is there a high end protein limit I should avoid? Thanks, I really appreciate it. 15. This is going to sound simplistic but.....go to bed! Get some extra sleep. You can't eat or long for food if you're sleeping. Climb into your bed as early as you can, and take a ZzQuil if you need to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. @@dustyd : I start my liquid diet Thursday, and heavy my RNY on August 18th, so we are practically on the same timetable. I am so excited to get this going! Where are you? 18. @ KristenLe do you have a waiting period? Where are you getting it done? I'm at Duke, and they have been great at booking me through pre op tests and appointments super quickly, BC I need to be back at work by 9/15. If I couldn't be recovered by then, I'd need to wait til April BC of work cycles. All I have left to do is Pre Op day on August 11, then RNY surgery August 18th. I really can't believe all the tests they do.... I feel like I've had the most comprehensive health work up that I've ever had! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. @@KristenLe : when is your date and which surgery are you having? Where? I feel like you and I have been meeting up a lot in these threads, I didn't realize you were pre-op, too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. Hi all. I take Wellbutrin XR (extended release) and Celexa for my depression, works very well for me. How do I take these meds post RNY? Will they be able to absorb? I am pretty sure I should not cut or crush the extended release Wellbutrin....do I take a liquid form? Is there a liquid formula? Is this a question for my bariatric surgeon or my prescribing psychiatrist? How have you done with antidepressants post RNY? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. Is there a simple app out there that lets us check off grams of Protein consumed, Water swallowed, minutes/hours of exercise? I am thinking it would be helpful after surgery, but many of the apps out there want yo start you with a calorie requirement, or set weight loss no higher than 2 pounds a week. What do you all use?
