  1. It's the intranet people...the only way to fit in everything your guidelines say to, is to stretch your pouch to max while on pain killers. I did not do this so i do not take in the amount anyone wants me to and in still alive. I also ditched my pain killers as soon as possible because i don't like being on them...my demons in the past Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  2. My insurance covered 90%. I jumped on it. Started everything in January at 370, RNY surgery on April 27th at 319. I'm down under 300 and loving it. Some discomfort some days but it reminds me I changed my life for the better. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  3. I still have pain on my right side and I'm 18 days post op. It sucks, they said to use a heating pad Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  4. I can't wait to have food again. It's easier to put Protein in when you can eat and feel more normal Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  5. I miss mine too...it's a struggle to force down 2 shakes and 64oz of Water in a day. I know i need the Protein and it's really not like i don't try. If i can't fit it and my stomach feels like i have a loaf of bread in it, i don't stuff anything else in Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  6. I had to fall asleep and have my wife put mine on after i was out for a bit. It takes time to get used to Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  7. Did you all cut your intake of food a few weeks before your proceedure or eat the same until the last week? I cut 3 months before my surgery and did a green juice day before my flush day. I was empty and have had no hunger since. A lot has to do with mental preparation. My brain was screaming for mexican food 2 days before surgery. I'm glad i told it to shut it lol. This is our second chance. A new way of life, the pain will go Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm on day 17 of liquids of 22....food isn't on my radar lol. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  9. Me too had surgery on Tuesday May 10th and thinking it was a huge mistake. I'm so gassy and bloated and tired. I'm walking all the time and burp the whole time I'm walking. Is that normal?Yep...it'll pass Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  10. You've started a new beginning... Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  11. It moves the gas around so you can expel it. It also helps with healing Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  12. Don't give up! Think positive and follow your guidelines per your surgeon. Another question, is everyone dissolving their antacids or taking them whole? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  13. I got yelled at in the hospital for the straw thing...didn't even think about it when i was doing it Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  14. I have cooked every meal for my family since coming home from the hospital. Yes, i stop myself from licking my fingers and tasting what in cooking but every meal has been fantastic without any issues. I don't crave right now, i did about 4 days post op for hot wings. The people that have this surgery and go through what we've gone through to just hand it back to the same horrible life that gave us the issues why we had to get in the table is ridiculous. This is our second chance, this is our chance at a new life. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  15. Your pouch is about 1.5oz...it does not feel good to stretch it with anything Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  16. I still can't get both my shakes in most days. If i do, i feel like I've eaten a loaf of bread. I focus on one and hydrating, if i feel good after that, I'll push another shake Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  17. I struggle a lot also...they want two full Protein shakes and 64oz of Water which has been impossible. Most days i focus on 1 shake and hydrate as much as i can...working on this right now. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Awesome Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  19. On 22 days of liquid only...6 more days until my appointment to see if I go to mushy foods. Other than that, not too bad. It's a life changer so make sure you're life has changed before going into surgery. I cut sugar, carbs, and a lot of fried foods 3 months before surgery so that i wasn't in crave mode after Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  20. Awesome! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  21. Awesome! My highest is the left picture at 370. Second picture was the day of surgery at 319.To the right under 300, my scale is horrible so I'll update weight at my next doctors appointment in a week. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  22. What does your diet consist of mainly? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  23. Post your best from surgery guys..it's so inspiring to see. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  24. From what my friend says about dumping, that sounds about right. I have a liquid diet for 22 days, they baby food style for 2 weeks, then soft foods another 2 weeks before "real" food...and I'm only 14 days out lol Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  25. The only bad i felt was when i was kicking the pain pills. My wife was angry at me saying i was being rude but i had to kick them since i had issues in the past. So far other than that, I'm happy as a clam and no one cab figure out how i can cook full blown meals for everyone and not feel the need to eat. I just don't and i am loving the new life i have been given. I want the most of this second chance and no taco or lasagna is going to derail it Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
