Good riddance of bad rubbish!!! There are great things ahead for you now that you've chosen YOU first instead of others....#Onward&Upward# #WatchWhatTheFutureHolds4U#

I can concur that it takes some effort to make it all work. I will admit though - the way I look and feel is SO WORTH IT! If that's all I have to do to keep looking fine and fabulous, its a small price to pay! Don't quit - take it a day at a time and you'll be glad you did!

I find that since my weight loss (80 lbs), friends and/or family almost instinctively want to hug me! Not sure but I figure its to see how far around my waist they can go! Its a great feeling for sure so applaud yourself! Good work.

80 Pounds lost thanks to VSG! My confidence is back, I interviewed for a new job which it looks like I will get (I truly believe I never could have interviewed anywhere at my heaviest weight)...
Yes, it takes effort daily, but then again, doesn't everything in life? plan + effort = SUCCESS!!!

I've been getting cramping stomach pains too! I wonder what that could be?

Looking fabulous I must say! Pretty pretty.... #ILuvMyVSG#

I always respond "portion control", "lots of water" and "movement" which is true.

Congratulations.....go live life!!!

You look mahvelous! I'm sure you are glad you got sleeved beforehand.....so pretty
-
Congratulations HopefulInVirginia! Welcome to the sleeve community!
Although the sleeve is simply a tool to be used in conjunction with diet and exercise, it still drops the weight off you like nobody's business! I have no regrets and love the way I look and feel now.
Applause for doing what's best for YOU and not letting anyone else tell you how to take care of YOU! Pls keep us all posted..... #TheStruggleIsReal

I must have chicken wings while watching football! Fortunately, there are a number of ways I can prepare them without all the extra "stuff" in them. The meatball recipe with chunky salsa sounds good too. Thanks!

Today is the 1st day of the rest of your life! May Father God cover and protect you today as you prepare to step into your new reality - to live healthier and happier for the rest of your days....VSGworks

Vanessa, you are stunning girlfriend! Do not let others thoughts get in your head...you will still have curves just not as big! LOL.... you are gonna love the way you look and so will the others! Watch and see...
-
I have heard others experience it too, but my surgeon said it MAY go away eventually as my body heals (10 wks post-op)...time will tell
-
I'm over the heartburn whenever I drink or eat anything...no regrets, I'm just over that part! Love the "looking and feeling great" part though

Ditto (you are beautiful before and after)!!! Its normal to be nervous...this is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make and it is indeed permanent. It was the tool I needed because I had my thyroid removed 7 years ago and nothing else was working to stop my weight gain, Its a life change and more than a notion to stay focused in doing everything your surgeon and NUT tell you to do.... but I can tell that you will look even more stunning (and much happier) after the surgery!
I get "approving" looks and comments every day (friends and family esp.), cat calls (which I can do without) from men young and old, and my husband is once again chasing me around the house (wink-wink).
God will bring you thru this with no complications, just name it and claim it!!!
Keep me posted on your progress cuz I'm here for you girlfriend! #VSGworks

2 years out and you still have sleep apnea?
Bummer....well I'm trusting and believing God to take it away completely. We will see soon enough.....
-
I also sleep with a CPAP machine..it is difficult to get used to (its been 2 yrs)!! sleep apnea is one of the reasons I had the gastric sleeve on 6/6/16. I am sick of being tethered to that clunky thing (yeah I know it keeps me alive while I'm sleeping).... My doc wants to wait 6 mos. before I get another sleep study done to see if I still need the machine.... That will be another BIG VSG victory for me once I'm done needing this darn CPAP!!!
So glad you were able to use it again / It truly is a lifesaver (my sleep study showed I used to stop breathing approx. 150x a night), so hang in there... best of luck to you my friend!

Women - losing hair?

I started getting hair loss around 5 months (I'm now 6 months post-op). My hairdresser cut it short and dyed it blond! I didn't originally want blonde, but in order for the Hair loss not to be so obvious, we had to keep lightening it....
I actually now love this color and plan to keep it going forward! New body, new hair, new attitude!
